5 minutes of walk to the lift chair. I loved staying in the cabin more than in the room where you have to share the common area with other guests. However, this common area is absolutely lovely and cozy, so if you have nice neighbours, you will absolutely love it. The property managers Brandon and Meg are very nice and helpful people. Also, nevermind your stay in the separate cabin or in one is the rooms of the inn, you can enjoy a nice hottub and a sauna. The property is also provided with a barbecue. Overall, it's a sweet place to stay.

Stayed here with some buddies. Will never be back again because the service was so terrible. I'd rather sleep in a Tijuana back alley before staying here again. I rate this place 0.5 dirty bed sheets out of 25 poorly dusted ceiling fans.

Meg and Brandon are super friendly, the rooms are clean and bright and well maintained. The cat is awesome and friendly! And of course Red Mountain is gorgeous, even if we are staying during the off season.

it's been a great stay so far! the owners are very friendly and welcoming. they had great recommendation of places to eat. They keep a very clean and neat house. would be a good place to come with a small family or 2 couples and book both rooms as you share a common area.

It was great experience staying here. Awesome place at affordable price. Very welcoming, clean space, have everything you need. And welcoming beautiful kitty was a pleasant surprise. Will definitely stay here again. Can't see myself going anywhere else.

This place is wonderful! Great location in Rossland. Equipped with adrying room and boot rack to dry everything from the twin and snow. Megs looked after us so well. She went above and beyond to get what we needed for a comfortable stay! It was very clean! And the bathrooms are newly updated. I love how it's a small cabin with a community shared living room.Now this is not a regular hotel or motel. The rooms are tiny, made as sleeping quarters with small washrooms. So the hangout area is the living room with the beautiful fire place. There is a deck with chairs, BBQ and a fire pit with more chairs. You just have to know what you are getting into. This is the perfect location for a group..there are 6 rooms with two big beds in each, a sink and a separate small washroom with showers and toilets in each room.Outside there is a separate building with a sauna and hot tub on the roof! So amazing!There is a A frame cabin also for rent with its own living room and kitchen and two bedrooms with 2 single beds and one queen.The only thing that was an issue is there is a cat that stays on the property so if you have allergies, it won't work well. The cat is great, really nice and cuddly. Really makes it feel like home but a couple of the guys had allergies so that makes it uncomfortable.

There are some basic requirements most people need out of a hotel in the mountains. Clean accommodations ,doors that lock and no bugs! I know that this place is trying to go for cute and charming and some what of a historical atmosphere with the boards falling off the truck in 1960 that it was built with .Haphazardly slopping some paint on the out side and a new sign is essentially the same as putting lipstick on a pig. guess what? Its still a pig. from the bugs crawling over us as we sleep and the door that didn't lock at the back so anyone could come into our place and take our things to the filthy water in the hot tub among other issue i would not recommend this establishment. Holmes on homes, Billy the exterminator would have a hard time trying to get Ty Pennington to say MOVE THAT BUS!" we left after one night and stayed at another hotel for the other 2 and we where not refunded even though they said they would."

We did not have a good experience with this place. For the price they charged us you can definitely find better. The location and the guy working there were the only good parts about this place.The rooms were cramped, there was no room for 4 people in there, we had our bags and boards all over the living room as you could not bring them to the bedroom due to a cramped staircase.Our first of three nights there i ended up sleeping on the couch due to something crawling on my arm when i was in bed. There was cob webs all over the ceiling joists, so i'm not surprised. That same night the other three people i was with had came down at different times in the night to also sleep on the couch for various other issues.We ended up staying at the Best Western in Trail due to these issues. Once we had told the lady at the front desk of Red Shutter Inn what had happened the previous night, she said she would send us an e-transfer for the refund of the remaining two nights. Once we were home and our vacation was over she told us she was not sending us a refund.She said we were lying about there being bugs so we could get a refund. Why would i sleep on a couch over a bed if there was no issue? Why would literally everyone else we were with also try to sleep on the couch? Why would we leave that place when it was literally a minute from all the things we wanted to do while we were there for 3 days? Why would we then spend even more money on a hotel for two nights when we already had a place? Well the reason is because that place was a terrible experience.A few other things, their shoveling was horrendous. They made somewhat of a path but it was an icy deathwish, especially on the stairs, lots of slips so be incredibly careful. Also their back door doesn't lock and can be opened from the outside. There is a bolt lock on the door but due to the frame shifting it does not line up and therefore lock. Their main defense for that was not shoveling back there but anyone could easily make their way in the back door at any time, if they're not afraid of knee deep snow.

We had a great stay here. It is a cool little place and the owners were very accommodating and welcoming. It is a lot more chilled out here in the summer than in the winter but we were charmed by the common room, hot tub, and the nearby Rossland main street with neat little shops, a pool, and a local brewery, The Rossland Beer Co.!
