Edited review. While my initial experience was slightly rough with cosmetic damage to a few items and a broken desk, I was compensated fairly. Paul cares about the customer and his teams work and always strives for a happy outcome. The movers themselves were understanding gentlemen and worked hard to help me move my stuff from my bachelor up two flights of difficult to navigate stairs. I'd choose this company again,

This was our second move with Inner City Moving. After our first move, there was no question we'd use them again. All communication throughout booking was super quick. I highly recommend this company for your move!

Two stars for easy communication when booking with Paul. However, the movers were not organized. They work hard but I don’t think they have tons of experience with moving and how to place stuff in a trolly or truck efficiently. It took three guys 5 hours to move a two bedroom condo to the storage building cross the street. A lot of my wood furniture is scratched because the movers were just placing them however they see fit. They also broke a west elm mid century night stand ($600 retail). The movers begged me not to call the owner to ask for compensation because they got paid $17 per hour and he said the owner would charge them for the damage. Their insurance policy says 60 cents per pound per item, which means I can only get $24 back assuming the night stand is 40lb. Thus I never reached out to the owner for compensation. It could be just the team I got that day were not great. I hope the owner can improve the quality of his team.

They were very RELIABLE MOVERS. They have all necessary things to pack glass table top and other glass items to prevent from any damage during the moving process. Closet box is definitely a stress relivers and they are very friendly with my kids and pets throughout the entire move. I really thanks them for a wonderful move.

They were professional, courteous, careful and efficient. I've already recommended them to my friend who's getting ready to move. I couldn't have been happier with their service. Definitely worth the money!

You will see many 'revised' reviews, but this is not a 5 star moving company.I have moved many times in my life and this was easily the worst moving experience of my life.I packed everything I neat boxes to avoid heavy or awkward moving. Everything was in a 10 by 10 storage unit that took 45 minutes to load.Movers were 40 minutes late (not a big deal obv, things happen) but I explained that I had to pay for an elevator and a time frame from the superintendent of the building.They said they would rush because if we went over time, I would have to pay more.I had moved just a month earlier and put everything in the storage unit myself, so I told the movers this would be an easy move. They complained I had too much stuff (a storage unit 10 by 10 to a one bedroom condo) and took twice as long as I had done the month previously by myself. I hired two men to do the job of just me and they took double the time. I am not a superwoman, and I can't help but feel this was totally intentional.Because they were so late, I had already moved about half the unit to the loading dock already, so I don't know why it took so long.They smashed several of our items. A bookshelf had the entire back ripped off and hidden behind some boxes. Hidden for me to find later. The walls got all smashed up too, even though I said it would be fine to leave everything in the living room and I'll take it up myself, they said they would take up the boxspring- smashing every wall on the way up. So now I have to manage several broken items and repair all the chips and scratches all the way up the wall.When I approached the owner he basically said I had underestimated the amount of furniture I had, and that I don't know how moving works. I literally moved the entire contents less than a month ago.It was needlessly dismissive.I booked this company off the reviews and only later saw they were all 'revised' reviews.So hopefully you can read this review and book an actual moving company and not have the experience I had dealing with this company.Edit- found more damages that had been concealed from me by the movers. Damages totalling around $1400.

*Evaluate your better options before taking a risk hiring this moving company*Punctuality: 2/10(be ready to be dismissed by owner/management if you have any expectation to start for your agreed upon time.) Apparently we should all know that if in Ontario there is inclement weather, instead of the moving pros with the truck leave early (like the rest of us do) to ensure the agreed upon timeline is kept, we as the clients are meant to bear the responsibility of accommodating the inconvenience. This is after 2 calls confirming the move, start time and location...and if we could arrive by 8am ready to meet our moving team, there's no reason why they couldn't be on time for 9am.Booking Process: 10/10, at the time we spoke with the Inter City moving team to initially book our move they made us feel everything would be scheduled and taken care of. Excited about their service and left of confused about how different the service was on the day of our moveLoading and Lifting Moving: 6/10Although it took the two movers much longer than reasonable expected, we did eventually get all of our stuff into our new unit. Multiple items were chipped, scratched and damaged. Including the walls and corners of our new home. In the following days later we are still finding new marks and dents in our furniture because of the lack of care witnessed with the loading of the truck and unloading afterwardsIn-Person Professionalism: 0/10During the day of our move, the two movers that showed up late had zero regard for the timeline that was mentioned for us to abide by our condo's move in rules. During the 40 minute period they were late by we had already moved 60% of our storage unit to their truck loading area and continued to help during the initial moving process.One mover got lost *twice* in the Uhaul building, needing to call for help to be found again. You would think hiring professional movers" they would be top tier...but even getting lost once could be understandable but twice in the same hour feels either malicious or incompetent. One elevator load full of our furniture and belongings was even sent on an unaccompanied elevator ride because the mover fully loaded it but failed to unload it on the ground floor.For the amount that we were billed and that we paid

My experience with Inner City Moving was excellent. Team were fast, efficient and very careful with my belongings , making sure everything was well wrapped and covered which was so important Thank you for making my moving day easy.

I've used Inner City Movers twice now, and been very happy both times. They are trustworthy, strong and fit, fast but careful, friendly but focused, resourceful and intelligent, and punctual and professional -- everything one wants in one's movers. Both moves took less time than anticipated and everything arrived in great shape. Excellent value and service -- highly recommended.

Inner City Moving was excellent from start to finish. They made a move in precisely the time estimated and were very careful with all my stuff. They were done much earlier than we had planned, saving us money and time. İ strongly recommend them.
