Excellent service

The customer service of this business is non-existent and their billing is much higher than most accounting firms charge. This was my second year using their services. I was told that my taxes would not be submitted until such time as I paid my account. When my account was paid in full, I was advised that my taxes would be submitted that day or the next.Upon logging into my CRA account 5 weeks later as it seemed that my refund was taking longer than usual, I discovered that my taxes had not yet been submitted. When I contacted the accountant in charge of my file, I received a short handed apology blaming CRA for service maintenance. As such, I looked into the service maintenance and found out that this had not started for two weeks after my account was paid and would not re-open for an additional week. I again contacted my accountant advising that this delay was causing financial ramifications (for example, their statement of account in the amount of $1,000 for personal tax filing) which was now sitting on my credit card for an additional 6 weeks due to the delay in filing. I also wonder how long my taxes would not have been submitted but for the fact that I checked my own account.Again, the response was short, unprofessional, no offer to discount their account, and the person I was dealing with even went to the point of firing me as a client. I am now getting emails from his staff asking that I collect my documents due to the termination at my request!?I am not sure how the other accountants at this firm treat their clients; however, the one I dealt with did not seem to care at all about the relationship with his clients or his professionalism, simply that his high accounts are paid with no accountability to any mistakes made on his behalf.

Poor communication, errors on year end adjustments (twice), failed to make sure taxes were processed by CRA. Also, when they make mistakes on your account and you call or email them on it, you will be charged for the emails and calls on their mistakes so just be prepared.

Highly recommended. Professional, prompt, courteous and thorough services by the whole team at T&C. Particularly appreciate MK's attention to detail with respect to self employment issues we have had historically, as well as medical expenses more recently. I recommend them to clients of mine for their dedication to excellent customer service! A five star outfit!
