Amazing every time. Good homemade food. Hot turkey and meatloaf my favorites. Bake goods are truly great. My wife and I eat here pretty much every weekend on the way to our cottage. Owner and staff always welcoming. I totally disagree with the first reviewer. Must try salted Carmel chocolate chip cookies.

Staff was very friendly. Service was quick. The Dutch meatball soup was excellent (perhaps not a regular menu item). The chicken and carrots were delicious. The food was served hot. Staff was very attentive with our large group. There were extremely patient with the two young children in your group when they were playing. A great dining experience would recommend it to anyone.

Not sure if there was a problem with the soft ice cream machine or not, but it was so runny, it ran off the cone at the counter!!! Kid gave the wife a bowl....& still charged full price!!! Ice cream was gritty & more of a pudding. Not sure the we will ever grace their business again!!!

My favorite place to go. Food is excellent, best breakfast in CHATHAM-KENT. I go there several times a week. Burgers and Fish n Chips are also excellent

Owner is a great mix of amusing and efficient. Food is simple homemade goodness and filling. Fair priced. We are regular customers. It's a favorite Saturday breakfast spot.

We have been going to this restaurant for many years. The food is always fresh and good. We have ordered the club sandwich many times and it is great. He uses REAL turkey, maybe you are only used to the deli kind. The price is on par with any other restaurant. However, if you split your sandwich with someone, the menu clearly states that you have to add $1.99 to the price. He has to give you two plates with cole slaw and fries, that is not free. Also, it includes fries, which are freshly made, not frozen. If you order them to be poutine, then that will add to the price. If you are the same people, (four of you) that came in Sunday night, then that is what you ordered. We were there at that time. When the owner asked how your meal was, you had NO complaints at all about the sandwich. If you had a complaint, that was the time to say so, and I know he would have done his best to fix the problem.

Brought in my empty coffee mug and was rudely kicked out, despite having asked to buy their coffee. Went back a year later and ordered their biggest breakfast, got 3 eggs and 10 tater tots, 2 pieces of toast and 4 pieces of bacon. It was pathetic and I don't recommend this place to anyone.The waiter was miserable too.

Good little spot in Charing Cross! Got the toonie Tuesday special, so definitely good value. I've heard their pies are delicious, will have to go back and try them!

Horribly rude and insolent owner that should not be in the service industry. And rude not only to us but to all the customers in the restaurant and waiting for ice cream outside. We asked for a high chair and he told us no and walked away. We asked for water and he snapped No I can't give you that". Another table asked for napkins and he told them they were going to have to wait. When we were trying to place our order he decided we were taking up too much of his time and walked away mid-order
