Recording with Jody is a lot of fun! His depth of experience and laid back nature create a comfortable environment where you can let out your best performance. Jody has a way of knowing just what to say when you’re feeling unsure or stuck to get you back on track with the piece you’re working on. He went above and beyond to shape my songs into their final, polished form! I will absolutely record at Robin’s Nest again!

In a few short months Jody has made my two kids (5&7) enthusiastic about learning to play music. He blends structure and exploration with his teaching style, and kids can understand that piano is a stepping stone to all types of instruments, especially when jamming with Jody on the drums, upright bass, or sound tubes!

Jody provides a fun and relaxed atmosphere, which makes it easier for kids to learn. Parents are welcome to watch the lessons in real time. Has been a high quality experience for my 12 year old son!

When I walk up the stairs to pick up my 6 year old boy from drum lessons and hear him jamming the blues with Jody it really brings a smile knowing he is taking part in music and learning to feel it as he masters technique. Jody provides the perfect balance of creativity and structure to allow a young leaner to establish a relationship with his/her instrument in an intuitive and meaningful way. Highly recommended.

Jody has been a really wonderful piano teacher. He is personable, knowledgable, very patient and amazingly encouraging. He has catered his lessons around my very busy schedule and he has done a great job at designing my education based on what I want to get out of learning the piano. I would highly recommend going to Jody for your music lessons!

Both my 8 year-old son and 6 year-old daughter have been going to lessons with Jody for almost a year now. He keeps each lesson fun and full of learning. The kids look forward to class each week and I continue to recommend him to anyone looking for music lessons without any reservations.
