A great little store that seems to have every kind of dry good imaginable. I use it for spices, flours and grains. However, they have many European and Asian items too.

what a wonderful wee place, so much goodness packed in to such a small store! among other things I buy their golden flaxseed meal & almond meal for making gluten-free breads & wraps etc, always fresh & very nutritious, they have many products in bulk & fresh

In February 2022 I purchased Black raisins, deluxe mixed nuts quick oats and salted sunflower seeds. The raisins had an unpleasant after taste and the quick oats tasted like they had white pepper in there and in the past their products tasted as though they had curry powder in them or had been stored to close to it. The mixed nuts tasted stale to me and did not reflect the quality I had experienced in the past. I hope the new owners or managers pay strict attention to their stocks freshness.

I purchased sesame seeds today from this store only to find there were bugs inside the sealed bag. This happened again a couple years ago when I purchased a bag of rice. I thought I would give them another try but unfortunately this is obviously more common than I thought.

I still remember the original store, Galloway’s decades ago on Robson Street. Now renamed Goodway’s (due to new owner), it is still the same decades later with unique quality products and great customer service. As soon as you walk in, you can smell the array of spices sold here. You’ll find an ample variety of nuts, grains, flours, & imported items. If you are needing a specific spice or ingredient to make that special dish, this is the place to go. This place has ingredients for all types of cooks including gluten-free, vegans, vegetarians, etc.The staff is helpful and friendly. They have different store hours (see attached photo). They are located on Sixth street in New Westminster (just across the street from Royal City Centre Shopping). There’s parking on the street or just as easy, park in the Royal City Shopping Centre for free. Exit at the doors near the food court and Goodway’s is across the street.

Summary: NO DISABLED ACCESS AND BAD ATTITUDE WHEN ASKED ABOUT DISABLED ACCESS. GOOD PRICES. Details: Good prices on bulk items. I did try to return a blend of Italian herbs last week, however, because it was mixed with whole black peppercorns, but the cashier said, that's how they make it! Of course that's not true, as I still have some Italian herb mixture from my last batch with no whole peppercorns. LOL ! But I just threw the herbs/ black pepper mix away ( only cost $2.99) and will continue to shop there as they have a large variety of well prices items I use, such as almond flour, brown rice, quinoa, etc. The reason for the 3 star review is that this place is completely NOT accessible for disability. There are 2 steps at the front entrance. When I asked if someone with a scooter or wheelchair could come in the back entrance where it's flat, the cashier outright refused, and acted like I was crazy to ask.
