The team at Boucher Guitars is truly exceptional. This can be seen through their work, they take pride in their work, and every detail is absolutely perfect. There’s a reason why these guitars sell quickly once a dealer has them in stock. My guitar is an SG-52-M. The color of the Master grade Adirondack top and the East Indian Rosewood back and sides are simply stunning. The stain on the mahogany seamlessly blends with the Rosewood back and brings the entirety of the guitar together. The only thing better than its looks is the sound. Truly an inspiring instrument to play. You won’t find this quality and sound for a better price. This guitar will be with me for life.

I purchased my Private Stock Maple OM Hybrid PS-SG-161 last week from Glenn Gotell at G&G Music in Antigonish, Nova Scotia and couldn’t have made a better choice. It was basically a six hour round trip by car but totally worth the drive.Glenn was very helpful in letting me try the six or seven Boucher models that he had on hand in his store so that I could get an idea which one would suit me best and every one of them was pretty amazing to be honest. But in the end I had to go with this stunning Private Stock Maple OM Hybrid, an absolutely amazing guitar full stop! Not just a beauty to look at but the sound is every bit as good as the beautiful woods that were used on this model. Not only does it have jaw-dropping flame maple back and sides, mine even has flame in the mahogany neck. I mean it’s just unbelievable.I had enough money put away for any high quality acoustic, Martin, Gibson, etc…. but this Boucher was hands down the best acoustic that I’ve ever played in my 45+ years playing guitar. The playability is excellent and the rich tone is really something, if you try one you’ll see what I mean.It also came with a high-quality hardshell case to keep it safe.Robin and Guillaume and the whole Boucher team are super dedicated in building the best acoustic guitars out there bar-none.I highly recommend Boucher, try one and I can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.Charles Arsenault,Moncton, NB

Not only is my Studio Goose a beautiful guitar, it sounds bright and clear, and has enough volume to support loud instruments like the banjo. It has a perfect balance for rhythm, and soloing. I highly recommend Boucher Guitars for all your picking and strumming needs! - Mark Wimberley

I just received my immaculate Studio Goose Dreadnought and I can’t be more impressed. The finish is exquisite, and the appointments are classic and organic. What I mean is this: the tobacco burst melts into the Indian Rosewood back and sides, and the headstock face has a grain that matches the rosewood. This pulls the guitar together beautifully. The herringbone rosette and trim jumps out with its traditional beauty, and is offset by the pretty maple binding. It’s the most elegant and eye-catching herringbone I’ve ever seen on a guitar. The tuners, bridge pins, saddle and nut are all of highest quality. We buy guitars mostly for the sound. I have eight acoustic guitars, all solid wood construction. Some are boutique-built guitars. They are great but they are not a Boucher. The sound of this Boucher is pronounced, with fat, lush notes, yet high definition, loaded with overtones, balanced and beautiful. The last thing is the neck. It has a satiny finish and the width is perfected to the right thickness for feel and this is all the way to the body; this make its playability superb!

This is the first time I have been compelled to review a product and I have to say I am so excited to write a review for Boucher Guitars. I just recently purchased a Boucher Studio Goose that Richard Bennett had owned and played for several years. I learned that Richard traded this prototype studio goose that was built for him to a friend of mine and I figured it must be pretty good if Richard played it for any length of time. Well, the minute I got it in my hands and played it I knew it was special. I didn't put it down for several days. It just played and sounded incredible to me, and I have a 1937 Martin D18, 1955 Martin D28, 1946 Gibson J45, and one of John Arnold's guitars (no relation) and this Boucher had become my favorite go to flatpicking guitar. After learning more about Robin Boucher and his Canadian shop I stumbled across one of J.P. Cormier's videos discussing a couple of Boucher guitars. Well long story short I was able to purchase the Bluegrass Goose that JP was playing in this video hoping that it would be as special as the studio goose I had acquired a few weeks earlier. Well, it did not disappoint. The BG-152-G that was delivered was just a special as the studio goose and now I have two wonderful Boucher guitars one Madagascar rosewood and one mahogany. They both sound awesome and yet they both have their own unique sound quality. The Bluegrass Goose is a monster jam guitar. It does not a take a back seat to banjo or Mando players. It jumps out there proudly. The Studio Goose is so precise. When you pick a string, it is so responsive. The notes jump of the top so quickly. The thing that really has been a nice surprise about becoming a Boucher player is the workmanship on these guitars. You can tell that the Boucher shop puts their hearts into these guitars. Like I said I have some wonderful vintage guitars and have been fortunate enough to have owned so wonderful Collins, Thompson, Bourgeois, etc. and I believe Boucher are at the very least as good as any of these boutique builders and I truly believe Boucher has come closer than any of them to the old pre-war Martin sound I get from my 37 D18. The Madagascar Rosewood Bluegrass Goose sounds as good as my 1955 Martin D28 and its not even 2 months old yet. I think Robin and his shop are producing the best new guitars on the marker right now and I have no reason to say that except that after all of the guitars i have bought and traded over the past few years both of my Boucher guitars have inspired me to want to become as good a player as I can. You can't buy that, that's a feeling that you only get when you have the right instrument in your hands. I guess that is why I saw that Jake Workman is playing Boucher Guitars now. If you have a chance check out Robin Boucher Guitars, I don't think you will be disappointed.

I just bought a Boucher SG 41om mahogany six days ago and I can't put it down! It is without question, the finest guitar that I have ever played! There is nothing missing, it is as good as an instrument can be. My Martin and Taylor will be lonely for a very long time. Thank you Robin, you've created a masterpiece!!!!!

I spent time researching before buying my 12 fret Boucher HG-56 Heritage Goose guitar.Robin Boucher matches over 20,000 Adirondack Spruce tops a year… and keeps the best wood for his guitars… and it shows. The craftsmanship is absolutely incredible - you can tell that every detail has been carefully considered and executed. The fretwork is precise and the wood finish is flawless. But what really sets this guitar apart is the sound. The golden master grade torrefied top produces a rich, warm tone that is truly amazing. When combined with the East Indian Rosewood back and sides, the guitar has a full-bodied resonance that surpasses any of my other guitars, including my Martins and Larrivee's.Playing this guitar is pure joy. The comfortable neck profile allows effortless fingerpicking and strumming. I find myself reaching for it every time I sit down to play.

Boucher Guitars make great guitars, period!I own a BG52. It is an absolute cannon. It's sound is sweet, articulate, and yes, loud. It is a work of art.The research, care and craftsmanship that goes into each Boucher guitar is like that of no other. These guitars start out sounding like they are already 50 years old, giving up their sound freely. And, with each passing day, they somehow continue to sound even better. If you are looking for a top shelf instrument that is heirloom quality, do yourself a favour. Consider Boucher. You won't be disappointed.

A great big thanks to Master luthier Robin Boucher and his dedicated team for the amazing Boucher Bluegrass Goose BG152GM, with its Adirondack top and astonishing Madagascar Rosewood back and sides! I couldn´t be happier with it. The build quality and attention to detail is beyond compare and the sound is beautiful, full and warm, loud enough though not brutal". It plays like butter and all the tones you want to hear are there

I bought a boucher guitar from this place and after 7 months the back cracked. The owner told me it was because its a lack of humidity but yet the guitar was always in the case in a humid place. I have a gibson and taylor that never cracked in 15 years i had them. Be ware of buying a boucher guitar for 6000$ that may crack on you and they wont do nothing about it and keep saying its my fault and not their product. For the price i would go with a trusted brand as martin or gibson for the same price. Quality of the product is a 0 for me since that happen and the sound would be a 9/10
