We hired this company, after getting many bids and upon word of mouth that they were reputable, to do our whole roof on our summer house. They said the job would be done in late June and they did about 1/3 of it- then we were informed they couldn't do any more until late August. So we said OK, as someone would still be at the house. In August they asked for more money for supplies and we gave them, in addition to what we had already paid, a total of half of the whole job. The supplies came but no workers. We were then informed they didn't have team to do it and so would hire it out to other contractors. This annoyed us as we wanted them to do it and were promised it would be done while we were in the house to watch. Subsequently they dropped the whole job so we had to find someone else very quickly. The job ended up costing about 2K more than we were quoted by Boyes due to their taking half the money, not ordering enough supplies to finish the job and backing out of our contract. VERY unprofessional and they continue to refuse to give us the supply invoices so we can see where our money went.

This company was amazing. They arrived early, worked steadily, and completed immaculate work at a very competitive price. I would highly recommend them to anyone for new or renovation work. I would give them six stars if I could.Bob Gibbon and Katherine Rankin

This company has done lots of work for us - from putting a basement under our cottage to extending our roof over a deck to replacing our roof. Mike recently repaired a few shingles that had come if in the wind - years after completion - at no charge!We highly recommend CA Boyes and Sons - they do quality work at a reasonable price and stand behind their work.

Do not use them. We hired them to build are house. At first everything was fine but one thing we noticed invoices were never broken down so you could see where your money was being spent. Also very unprofessional with comments such as you have expensive taste. Who says that to a client. Also we they would blame there subs for things broken or damaged in the house. Even though we have pictures to prove it was them. A sign we should have fired them earlier. Long story short we fired them. Hired another GC. After are new GC walked through the house we felt like we were on an episode of Mike Holmes with all the mistakes he pointed out. Save your money and heart ache and do not hire them. Wish I didn’t have to give even a one star.
