John replaced a swivel bottom for a chair of ours that was shipped incorrectly from a company. He was a gem of a guy! Very friendly and personable. I mentioned I had purchased a new chair that I wanted recovered. He gave me a quote on it and said it would take 6-8 weeks in the shop. We picked it up 5 weeks later! It turned out perfect! We are very impressed with the professional work and would definitely recommend this place to others.

I've only had great experiences with Ackerman's. First knew them following a moving company who damaged items in transit - they sent Ackerman's team, who were able to get our furniture looking surprisingly great (I had low expectations, which were vastly exceeded). So, when we inherited a precious antique that needed refurbishing, I brought it to Ackerman's. They were communicative, fast, and helped me make decisions on fabric/stain I found helpful. They were welcoming when I had to bring my baby in and went out of their way to return the item to me. I so appreciate their good work and excellent customer service.

I'm so pleased with the furniture I've had repaired by Ackerman's. They refinished a dining room table for me and a MCM sofa a purchased on Craigslist. The work they did was fantastic and they made sure I got exactly what I wanted. The whole crew is very friendly and they were great to work with. Next time I need something repaired or re-upholstered its definitely going to them.

They did great work on a 10 ft long tufted cushion for my built-in. It looks amazing.There was an issue with the length at first, but they responded really quickly to fix it.I would absolutely recommend them to anyone

I recently had my grandmother's hope chest restored. It turned out better than I could have ever imagined. It looked brand new. They were on-time with the completion date. Great to work with in person and on the phone.

I just had a drawer repaired that had a noticeable chuck taken out when something heavy dropped on it. In less than 5 days, Ackerman had my drawer repaired so perfectly I couldn’t even see where the repair had been done at I price I thought very reasonable considering the cost of the nearly new nightstand. Highly recommend.

We are extremely pleased with how the cushions for out 75 year old leather couch turned out. It now has many more years of life. I was extremely impressed with the service we received at Ackerman's. Kind, respectful, honest, conscientious of client's needs during the pandemic, thorough, quick and fairly priced are all ways I would describe the service I received. From the first email inquiry to ask for a quote, they were very responsive to our needs, including our preference for email communication. In the store I felt safe and in a high risk/special needs family situation, I can't express how valuable that is. I left the store stating that I was looking forward to the next time I get to interact with them. That isn't something you normally say when you repairing furniture. Wonderful job!

I am so glad that I was referred to Ackerman’s by a couple of Gabberts’ employees. They knew just what to do when I asked about the rubber webbing that needed replacing in the seat of this family piece. We picked out a fabric from their nice selection of fabrics, got an estimate, ordered, and they finished the job. They had a couple of questions as they finished the project and called. I appreciate the attention to detail and pride in their work. I am so pleased to have my chair back home...better than new! :)
