Floor Coverings International Calgary

I had the worse experience with this company.Timing, scheduling, material buying and installation delayed my project seven weeks.Take my advice as a wakeup call.

We had an excellent experience with Floor Coverings International. We were unsure of the type and colour of hardwood to purchase and their designer did an excellent job of helping us make a decision. Our hardwood flooring looks wonderful and the installers worked hard and did a great job. We would use this company again in the future based on their commitment to provide customer satisfaction.

Our experience with Floor Coverings International was exceptional. No pressure, and good ideas and suggestions. The installers were first rate. They took their time and did the job right, paying attention to detail. They installed a luxury vinyl floor product in our kitchen, front entrance and back landing, and the adjoining stairs. We've only had the product installed for a week, but absolutely love it.

Floor Coverings International were great to work with. They did our living room and dining room in a beautiful hickory, 5 inch wide laminate that just looks super. They also did our entry way and our kitchen floor in a good quality vinyl. Our house looks wonderful now.Margaret

Their staff were friendly and courteous. They honoured their estimate, did a superb job and were finished sooner than I expected. My hardwood floor is beautiful!!

The person who came to our home for the estimate was also the person who completed the last portion of the job so we felt quality control was excellent. All services were explained as well as the associated cost. We were very happy with the work.

Purchased higher end Armstrong FASTak LVP because of recommendation by Patricia and James. I was concerned about the lack of interlocks and the possibility of expansion and contraction. Patricia ensured myself and my wife that it does not expand and contract at all. James mentioned he would use glue on the whole floor, but the instructions said it did not need it except for near windows. I had laid a completely new subfloor so this shouldn't be need at all. After spending $4000 on this flooring (supply only) we have many issues with expansion and contraction. I also read in the instructions the floor is to be kept below 29C. We do not have AC. This was not told to us before purchasing, and who can keep their house below 29C in the summer without AC? Yesterday (Oct 11, 2016) my house was at 21C and the sun still made the floor lift in the upstairs hall. I really feel we were mislead or they did not know the product very well. We also feel we have not been looked after very well when I brought this up with James. He did come by once about a month ago to look at it, but has not followed up since. We are very unhappy. I glued a section of the flooring down as per James and Shamrocks instructions with the glue, and there was still expansion and contractions near the window which is worse now because it expands, moves the glued pieces, then contracts which left big cracks between the pieces, and now it's glued down. This should completely be warranty and we should have been looked after much better after these issues has surfaced. The only way I think will resolve this issues is to completely wet glue this product down, but the biggest advantage supposedly with this product was the easy repair if needed. On a positive note, we do love the colour and look of the flooring, but the flooring itself is not meant for domestic housing. It could possibly be great in a department store with no windows and controlled atmosphere in the summer.

I had a fantastic experience with getting all new flooring on my main level. Everyone from sales, installation, managers were all very good to work with and I had no complaints at all. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and we're looking at getting new blinds through them as well.
