Finally some good Kothu downtown! The deviled chicken Kothu was a huggeeee portion that I couldn’t eat even a quarter in one sitting. The roti is nice and soft and it’s packed with flavour!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I had the most incredible experience at this Srilankan restaurant in downtown Toronto! The food was undeniably authentic and bursting with amazing flavours. The portions were generous, enough to satisfy two people easily. I highly recommend checking it out—it's an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking a delicious and authentic culinary adventure!

Located by Yonge and Gerard which is a convenient location. This place is pretty new and everything working there is so nice! It’s located by the food area right in-front of TMU! Great variety of Sri Lankan food. We didn’t try a lot of their food because we weren’t planning on eating there initially but the chicken kothu roti was so good! It was a really good serving size too for $13 because two of us were able to eat that! The fish roll was also really good! We would definitely be going back! This food reminded me of street food back home for sure!

Super pumped to see a Sri Lankan option in the downtown core! You can now try out delicious Sri Lankan fusion food in the heart of the downtown at Cucini xpress. They recently opened up a second location not too far from Yonge and Dundas square. If you haven’t had Sri Lankan food before, this is a great spot to try it. They offer traditional spicy and colour food as well as fusion items.Recommendations include: the Butter Chicken Roll, the Jaffna Fries, Mutton Kothu Roti, Chicken Briyani, and their Sandwiches and Fish Cutlets. This is a great spot for takeout and all items are halal. Vegetarian options are also available. They even have specials for students and discounts and a free offering of kothu roti for their grand opening day, April 04th!Make sure to check them out and you can also find them at their original location in Whitby!

One of the only spots downtown where you can find Sri Lankan Street food, and it’s superb! They have many authentic classics along with modern fusions, all generous portions for under $20 (there’s also 15% student discount).I tried the Jerk Chicken Kotthu and it was something I never knew I wanted. Same with the Jaffna fries. The Short Eats (rolls, patties) are great too - and a lot of vegan and halal options. The nasi goreng (fried rice) was great too, though a little dry. The cuttlefish is an elevated calamari, tender and crispy.

I wasn’t sure what to order and the staff recommended the Mutton poutine. Wow! It was amazing. A ton of flavour and the right amount of spicy. Tired the kottu as well, and it’s so tasty! Huge portion too

You don't have to be Sri Lankan to enjoy the food here, but if you are! You're going to enjoy this in every cell of your body.කෑම නියමය්. ලංකාවෙන් නංග අනිවාර්යෙන් මෙතනින් රසවත් කෑම වේලක් කන්න!The food has all the flavours and spice that you would expect from Sri Lankan food. The menu above the booth is eclectic, but I wouldn't restrict myself to it... look at what's behind the glass. Order what speaks to you.I tried as many things as I could, and quite frankly, I want to eat EVERYTHING here. Again... and again... till I am 100lbs heavier and I don't miss my mother anymore (Note to self: don't use food to bury deep-seated emotional trauma).Biriyani: simple, but fantastic. Reminded me of my friend's parents' biriyani. This is the uncle and aunty who's food was always the talk of the party. So, good!Kothu roti: Delicious and more like home. I've tasted many kothu roti's around the GTA and they tend to have more of a South Indian spin on it. Not the typical flavour I grew up with. This tastes more like the Kothu I would have in Sri Lanka at 4AM in the morning after a heavy night of drinking. Which is a common late night food for party goers. (Look up Anthony Bourdain's visit to Sri Lanka for more info)Devil chicken: Hell F'ing yeah. In Sri Lanka, this is the type of item we have on the side while drinking. This was one of my favourites. This dish is a result of Chinese influence and is a fusion of Sri Lankan and Chinese. So, while you can have it on its own, it would also pair great with the Sri Lankan Fried Rice".Sri Lankan Fried Rice: A lot like Chinese fried rice
