We contacted this company as they state to, left message, got email back from John Wilke stating to send him our plans and what we are looking for in the way of stairs. We did this, heard back from him a week later by phone. He asked questions, contradicted himself several times, told us we could not get a quote on two different types of wood, that it was one or the other? After about 15 minutes into the conversation he states that they are so busy that he can't even get us a quote for 3 weeks and this and that and he doesn't believe they can even do the job, blah blah blah...Our question then is why do you ask for our home plans to be emailed to you, then you call and ask questions, then you decide you are to busy for this job???? Why because it's not cost effective?? Why aren't you stating up front you are to busy to quote???? Very unprofessional, and arrogant attitude. Roes Stair you may want to consider a different salesman but then again if your that busy I guess you can pick and chose, and be rude to potential customers. We never complain about anyone but this guy needs to be called out, terrible customer service. We will never recommend this company to anyone.

Talented craftsmen

I will keep this review purely factual.Rob from Roe's company first visited my place for the initial estimates.#1 During the conversation he clearly mentioned that without risers, stairs will be cheaper than stairs with risers. By the time stairs were to be delivered, it was revealed that the stairs were being made with paint grade risers. Never asked for risers, never asked for paint grade. On reminder to change back to what was originally discussed, additional $8000 were charged.#2 During the same conversation Rob mentioned that it will take 5 weeks for the end to end process and he also mentioned that stairs are brought to site as a single structure and will be installed in a single day. The fact was concealed that nosing will be installed weeks later and railing even further later by weeks. End to end process took 3 months.Please note that we told Rob how important the time was and in fact it was one of our deciding factor whether or not to change existing stairs.#3 Spindle design was finalized and paid for, but the spindles delivered were completely different. Rob and Roe's unapologatically offered us a 1000 discount to accept their mistake as is.#4 Please check the attached picture to see the installation. The stringers were cut more than an inch short. The fillers were provided but they are of different shade.Update - my general contractor was able to fill the leftover gap of around 1/2 inch after Roe’s stairs installed the fillers and he installed trim around the stringers to make it look pretty.Roe’s stairs were able to provide the correct spindles as originally ordered and also refunded $1500 for the inconvenience.

Working with Rob from Roes Stairs has always been a great experience. He is very open to our design concepts and finish requests. Roes Stairs is always very professional, delivering quality goods in a timely manner.

My garage has a recessed stairway with a wacky concrete job that would have been super expensive were it not for the man consulting me on the best (not most expensive) option I could take.They used solid metal boots to keep the railing anchored and strong, which was my main concern. The railing looks great, and I'm very impressed.
