Hi-5 Burger, Shakes & Chicken

3 overall. Located inside first street market - a quick grab and go spot for burger and fries. Average cost for items is around $10. It is a simplistic yet good amount of average options available spot. The loaded fries were ok to probably won't get again - almost reminded me of wants to be like new York fries but not quite there. Cheese sauce was not that appealing. There was nothing to really write home about for the burgers either but it was decent - tasted good. Nothing bad nor grand. Since it is made fresh to order, it can take some time for it to be ready. The day I went, only one person was working and it was on the slower side.

Checked out First Street Market for the first time and they had a really good variety but Hi-5 caught my eye. I got the Hi5 with cheese and the burger was top quality for sure, very filling and delicious sauce. All the components were great. The service was really nice as well. I recommend this place for sure.

After our favourite burger place closed down in Calgary we lost faith that we'd find another perfect burger again. Don't bother me with all of the usual claims to best Calgary burger, they pale in comparison to Hi-5. Smash burgers are the ONLY way to burger and this place delivers them flawlessly. They also recently upgraded their fries, which used to be the only fault I could find, to perfectly crispy coated skinny fries, the kind that stay crispy even if they're cold. Love this place, hope it never ever leaves!

Tried Hi-5 for the first time when I get the chance to eat out of office once in awhile. First thing I noticed was the guy was busy talking to his EarPods (maybe SkipTheDish.. idk) so I patiently waited for my turn. We ordered the Lo-5 burger with cheese and fries. It only took them around 10mins to give us our burgers. Their burger patty is thin, crispy on the sides and really tasty. I like their Yellow sauce (mustard n dill) in it and their fries were just in the right size and texture. After my first bite, i didn’t noticed right away that it doesn’t have a cheese. So I returned our burgers to the guy and patiently waited again for another 10mins. Noticed that new customers are getting their orders first before mine and the crew guy asked me if I was the one who’s waiting for the Lo-5 with cheese, I said “yes” politely. Then another customer complained that his Hi-5 burger has only one burger patty (it should have two) and brought back his burger. I was able to get my cheeseburger after 13mins and man the buns were COLD. I that point I just want to eat cause my lunch break was almost over. The food experience was not that excellent, but I’d say the burger was still delicious. I get it, it’s lunch time and it gets quite busy. But it’s only Burger on their menu and I watched all their customers ordered only burgers too, so what’s with all the cramming? I gave them the benefit of a doubt that maybe it’s a new cook or something happened in their kitchen whatsoever. I really like to give them 4 star honestly, but they gave me 2 errors on my order of just a cheeseburger. And I wanted to point out that they need to improve something in their system, maybe staffing? (only one guy prepping), management? I really hope their business more success in the future and hopefully no more bad experiences from customers like the one that we had.

Great price for the food! Red sauce great and the burger was crusted really well. It didn't leave a mark though. One time experience.

The burger was a tad dry, but still quite tasty. Similar texture, size, and getting method to a smash burger. Whereas I enjoyed the burger, I likely wouldn't get it again, is probably try one of the other tasty vendors in the First Street Market instead.

The best chicken tenders I will have has ever in my life. I bought them for my kids and ate 2/3 the ranch tastes fresh all fresh ingredients fries were amazing too. Will be back I’m shocked the reviews aren’t way better. Give them a shot.

Nashville hot chicken really sucked, maybe it was just a bad day for someone cooking it cause judging by pics of other peoples think I kinda missed out. Poutine was extremely okay.

One of the best smash burgers in Calgary, made with Martin's potato buns, from Detroit. Pro tip: get the white AND the yellow sauce. Perfection.
