Have come here a few times over the years for their Flames game day specials due to their proximity to the Saddledome and heated parking being included. But after the most recent experience, even the convenience factor won't be enough to bring us back.For a table of 4, we waited a long time to place our orders and get our drinks. It was over 40 minutes before salad even came out. Given the tight time window, the delays caused us to miss the start of the game. There zero sense of urgency or care factor from the staff. There were several other tables that were in the exact same position as us too.The food used to be reliably solid, but everyone's medium rare steak came out closer to raw. One of us ordered the burger, which was fully raw and cold in the middle. Barely touched it and left it behind because we didn't have enough time to complain because of the speed of the service.The only reason they get 2 stars is because our parking tickets were at least properly validated. With all the other pre-game options on the same block, we won't be back.

I don’t know what happened here. I’ve had positive experiences pre Covid but today our lunch was a disaster. My burger was literally burnt to a brick. I don’t understand how anyone could serve this. And our Cobb salad just had a huge piece of the lettuce core in it, totally uncut. So sad… for $30 a plate I expect more.I’m changing my review to 3 star because the manager offered to have us in for another chance. We will try again and see how it goes.

We visited Yellow Door Bistro for lunch today. We are here from Manitoba and wanted to try somewhere a bit different for lunch. This place has a wonderful ambiance! The interior is very modern and beautiful. The music they play is quite pleasant, and our server Vernon was wonderful! He was so friendly, attentive and fun to have as a server.They have a good variety of meal options. We tried the twice fried fries, I had the fungi pizza and my husband had their burger. Everything we ate was delicious. They even have a few options on the menu (including my pizza!) that provides a meal to someone else in need when you order it, which I loved. All-in-all, I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit somewhere for a nice meal.

Came here for our anniversary for the breakfast buffet. The menu online looked amazing. However, when we got to the restaurant, the buffet had less than 10 items and was mediocre at best. The corn fritters were undercooked and were raw on the inside. When we pointed this out to the server, she asked the kitchen and asked us to not eat them. There was no follow-up from anyone else. The warm food was cold upon our arrival (and we were one of the first customers!). The food was never replenished even once while were there for the entire 40 minutes (we left early because the food was no longer palatable). Would not recommend.

Omg it was amazing. The food was out of this world and Derek our waiter was impressive. We booked for the Christmas day buffet. All I can say is if you haven't tried please come and try.The only thing I found a tad odd was no virgin (alcohol free) cocktails. My adult daughter doesn't drink so it would have been nice.

We ordered the Hockey Night dinner with artisan green salad, choice of steak frites, YDB burger & seasonal vegetarian rissoto. I had the rissoto and it was the best I've ever had. My husband had the burger and really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend if you are checking out a Calgary Flames game.

I stayed at the attached hotel (Hotel Arts) back in November and had a breakfast package. This restaurant had great decor and aesthetics. Breakfast buffet and service was amazing!There’s dishes you can serve yourself (limited but enough), tea and coffee they will bring to you as per order. Eggs and toast they cook to order which you place with the server. Spreads for the toast was displayed in cute tiny jars at the table. With breakfast package you just have to fill out a piece of paper when you’re done eating with option to tip. It will state the total ($24 per person) and charge to your room number but it’ll be taken care of later if your room has a package attached.Definitely will return when I visit Calgary again.

Service was great! BUT I went for the weekend brunch and we came around 12:30 (note brunch is over at 2) most of the food was already taken which they were slow to put fresh food out. Once some of the plates were gone they never refilled them. With the eggs Benedict, my eggs were hard boiled. Very disappointed, we came at 12:30, they should be accommodating to all their customers and have their food stocked for the time given for brunch. Not worth the price and aesthetic they claim to have.

We had a good time with our friends. We r for brunch, eggs Benedict’s was the best along with other hot and cold food. Lots of variety. Service was awesome. The ambience is great, bright and relaxing. Had a good time.

Yellow Door Bistro
Had brunch here and it was fantastic! Although the weekend brunch buffet looked great I opted for the standard brunch menu options.The fried banana bread is incredible, almost like a light french toast that also comes with slightly caramelized bananas walnuts and whipping cream topping. It is a very large portion and definitely fills you up highly recommended for those who want a decadently sweet treat!
