GLT Heating and Cooling

My new heat pump was in need of a nearly complete reinstallation due to faulty workmanship from my RV manufacturer. The job was bigger than our first assessment but the GLT techs stayed until the work was completed fully and professionally. Very satisfied!

The install was botched and had to be completely redone. We failed inspection on 4 counts and are now waiting for a reinspection by hydro but it did not effect our heat. When we first contacted them they came right away and hooked up a construction heater so we would at least have some heat in the winter. Service tech jessica was awesome. Actually whole company was nice. We eventually reached an agreement and we are now happy customers. Almost 5 stars.

We have been using GLT for years! We switched to them since we did not like our other furnace maintenance company and GLT’s storefront is just blocks from our place. They have been quick, efficient, professional, courteous and affordable every time for our heating and cooling maintenance and troubleshooting. We just used them for some basic plumbing services for the first time today. Again, they did not disappoint. So happy to have found this wonderful company that we will rely on for all of our heating/cooling/plumbing needs!

Had GLT replace my furnace on April 11, 2022. Garth and Craig were fantastic. All done in about 7 hours or so. Had my A/C unit replaced by Garth 2 years ago. Another fantastic job. Anyone look for HVAC services should definitely give GLT a call.

After hours call on a Friday. Response was quick and Jessica showed up - she was great. Estimated it would be $600 after the part was ordered. Gave us a construction heater on deposit for $250 plus $200 after hours fee - no mention that there would be a usage fee on the heater. Monday morning got a call from the office that the part would be in the next day and that it would now cost $1,300 - no reason given. Didn't ever hear from them ever again. Went with an out of town company and they charged me $800. I was waiting for them to call me and they never did. So 10 days later we walked into their office and returned the construction heater. Explained the situation - manager came out and was shocked and apologized. We asked for the $250 deposit back - he said there would be a usage fee but that he would waive it.

Our old furnace's heat exchanger broke in the dead of winter. They were able to get a new high efficiency furnace installed within a week. They had heaters available so we weren't without heat completely. Would definitely recommend GLT, and will be using them again when I eventually need to replace my A/C or hot water tank.

Allan was fantastic. Very thorough. Involved me to see the results using photos. Went the extra step. Even checked the battery life of my thermostat. Very sociable and knowledgeable about his work. Would highly recommend and will book again next time. Our air flow was noticeably better.

We have been using GLT for over 15 years. They have installed our furnace, AC and hot water tank.They have always been dependable and professional. Can’t imagine going anywhere else.

We had our furnace installed by Craig in 2021 and the service was great. In the past, we have always used GLT for our annual maintenance and found them to be professional.Recently, we didn't have any heat because our Nest thermostat wasn't working and needed a new one installed. A GLT technician came out and proceeded to install the new Ecobee thermostat. After an hour of installing the Ecobee, the last step came to turn it on and the technician realized we needed more wires. They had to uninstall the Ecobee and put in a temporary thermostat taking another hour. Since the new Ecobee couldn't be installed in the allotted time with the new wiring, we had to pay for the two hour call plus have another technician out for another two hours. I would have liked the initial technician to realize that before installing the Ecobee our current three wire system couldn't be used. Instead, we essentially paid for the Ecobee to be installed, uninstalled and then a temporary thermostat to be installed.The last technician to install our Ecobee was Ian and he was great. Answering all my questions and installing the smart thermostat in a timely manner. I'll still be using GLT for future maintenance needs and requesting Craig or Ian as I've had the best experiences with them.
