YŪGEN Nail Spa

I used to like this place. The first 3 times I went there my nails were perfect. Exactly as I wanted. The last 2 times the techs didn't do a good job of removing the cuticles, doing the art, and finishing the gel. I know some are more experienced than others and for this reason, I booked an appointment with one of the most experienced - also one of the first 3 that had me at the beginning. Mind you that their availability is different so I chose a time that was not super convenient for me, but it was the time this experienced tech was available. I got there yesterday for my appointment and was directed to a novice - yes, after being there for 5 times I know who is new who's not. I thought she would only remove my gel, which doesn't require much expertise. Fine. Turns out that she did everything. And poorly. And it took 1 hour and 20 minutes - 20 minutes more than usual. Honestly, I used to love Yugen but now I don't know if I am going back.

Genuinely disappointed. Based on the reviews, I really thought this would be a great place to get a new set. But, unfortunately that wasn’t my experience.My “solar” nails, are very thick, have gaps between the tip and the nail (which food, dirt, and bacteria is getting in) and, the polish is very poorly done/spotty.I’ve had artificial nails applied many times, and I’ve never been so disappointed.Edit:After leaving my review, I was contacted by the owner and given the option to come back to the salon to have my nails fixed (I didn’t have time to sit for 2+ hours again to have them removed and then reapplied) or get a refund if I removed my review.After 2 days with that set of nails, I had so much dirt and yuck in the holes under the nails, I was mortified.

I have no words to describe how amazing this salon is. Lee helped me she was so detailed and thoughtful and even gave me a nice shoulder massage. I came here for my bridal nails and I am so happy I did. I highly recommend this spot. 10/10

I recently visited Yugen Nail Spa for a regular pedicure and overall had a good experience. The staff were friendly and professional, and the price was reasonable for the service provided.However, I have to give them four out of five stars because I was hoping for my feet to feel a little softer after the pedicure. While my nails looked great, my feet didn't feel quite as smooth as I had hoped.Despite this, I would still recommend Yugen Nail Spa to others, especially if you're looking for a great nail salon that offers quality service at a reasonable price. Just keep in mind that if you're looking for an ultra-soft finish on your feet, you may want to consider a different salon or request additional softening treatments during your pedicure.

Got my nails done a few days back with Trinny. Full set of acrylics. 10/10, great work, clean welcoming environment, reasonable pricing. This is definitely my new nail girl. No complaints, and have gotten so many compliments on my nails since.Highly recommend.The owner Lee is also an extremely nice guy.

I have visited several nail salons, and so far this is the one I like the most.They were friendly, offered me water and the service of my nails was complete.Excellent quality and price.

I’ve come here twice so far for a pedicure due to the positive reviews and have had a pleasant experience each time. The nail techs seem polite and friendly and I always felt relaxed as they were working on my nails. They have comfy massage chairs for pedicures and a lot of colours to choose from. Prices are affordable, the place seems really clean, and I like the way my nails come out each time! I’ve always come here on a weekend and the place has had quite a few people in it each time so this place, so it shows the place is popular :)

Very friendly staff, place is clean and organized. I was able to get an appointment the same day by booking online. I was a bit late and they waited for me without a problem. I will recommend and come back.

The gel polish doesn’t crack/lift. I always book my appointments with Trinny or Rosie but all the staff seem very professional. The store is not fancy but they really care about keeping customers happy! This is how my nails look after 14 days:

The first time, I have experienced a professional nail service. The design is extremely creative, the service staff is enthusiastic and kind. There is free tea and coffee available. The hot stone massage feels really great.
