Dr. Zia is excellent but the front desk staff who earlier worked at Crescent Town Health Centre needs a lot of customer service training. She was arrogant, and always ready to blame you for her mistakes. 5 stars to the doctor and zero star for her. I have edited this review as I had seen another helpful front desk staff as well in my last visit. That should have improved the customer service hopefully.

Dr. Zia may be good. But his front desk assistant change the patient test appointment as per her wishes, he move that appointment to another patient. It is not accurate or acceptable to any patient when from the doctor assistant does it. A patient get ready for the test and one day before assistant called and said, “Your appointment has been cancelled’. It happened twice for me, I felt they want to increase heart disease by doing this type of activities.

I and my wife both are attending the clinic. Dr. Zia is no doubt experienced professional. Very intelligent and co operative.Staff is very polite, professional and humble. The way they guide the patient is nice.

I have yet to meet Dr Zia in person but my experiences with his administration/front desk employees have been deplorable. Treating patients with a rude tone and condescending manner from the minute you meet/speak with them is beyond inappropriate. Before my second appt I received a call 30 mins before I was due there to “confirm” and telling me “make sure you show up 15 minutes before, ok”. When I said that would not be possible as I had arranged childcare/transport to get there at the appt time I was met with a sigh and a rude “well get here on time, ok??”. Of course I planned to get there on time. These clinics should not make appointments at the end of the day if the staff all want to go home and not keep them. YOU suggested this time. Not me!After my second appt I returned to collect my umbrella. The receptionist and tech were having a discussion about me and were mortified when I walked in.On the third appt which was a call, the receptionist called again and told me rudely I had missed my appointment. It turns out the doctor had called my home number and not the cell I had stipulated to be called on that she was calling me on to berate me!?Eventually I did miss an appt for a stress test and was called with “you missed your appt this morning”.I will not get into the circumstances but this was a mistake and I apologized profusely. I was told “I’m rebooking you for “X-Date/time” and if you’re late we’ll charge you $75. Bye”. No question as to if this works. I understand that it is inconvenient and frustrating when appointments are missed and I did feel bad. This very rarely happens for me but I am human and made a mistake. I had never missed an appt or showed up late for any of my appts there.I never leave reviews but I am honestly so shocked and appalled by the way these people have treated me and have never had such a negative experience with a doctors office/clinic/business in my entire life. The staff here need a crash course in customer service and how to treat people with decency. Treating patients from the very outset like you’re “doing them a favour” and as if we are a huge inconvenience and burden to you does not give me confidence in your care. Health is a precious gift and I do not feel any trust in letting you handle mine.

I read the first two review and also heard one of the staff member conversing with my wife in a rude manner. I think the Doctor need to pay attention to his office staff and remind them of what good customer service is all about. After all the patients seeking cure are under tremendous stress and shock. They do not need to deal with rude and impatient staff, specially when it takes a while to understand their accented english - remind you, there is no prejudice here, for I am also part of visible minority.Needles to say, there must be a way to convey this message to the doctor or a way to address this issue of rude staff lacking good manners and customer service skills.
