Mama Sita's Cafe
Food was great I had the Tex Mex chicken burger and fries. The chicken was a real chicken breast and tender. The fries were lightly seasoned and perfectly crispy. We sat outside in the shade which was very relaxing.

Perfect spot for apres xc ski lunch. Local craft beer on tap and hearty portions. The wood stove was great to warm up the space and ourselves after winter activities.

Going for a sunday drive?? Go to winlaw for this joint. My buttermilk fried chicken bluecheese buffalo burger was an 11 1/2 out of 10!! Dripping down your arm, wear it on your face goodness!! Fries and cold beer were equally as good. My husband had the thai grilled chicken burger and loved it. This would get a 5 star if it wasn't for staff. We were waited on by 4 different servers and had to ask for our drinks twice. Just seemed like too much confusion but the food by far overshadowed any other issues. We will be back, again and again... loved it!! Nice outdoor seating area.

busy place. tables out front. my first choice wasn't available but what I had was still very good. friendly helpful folks. I say helpful because we had some fun with parking (a tree and the rooftop of our RV) but they lent us a ladder and all ended well.

Great staff and great community, the food is amazing. There winlove signature salad dressing is fire, And the nashville chicken burger was definitely worth the drive from nelson to the Slocan Valley. They always have great bands and there's always somebody to talk to. Also the owners are amazing people.

Mama Sita's Cafe
Went to Mama Sita's for dinner with my family during our long weekend camping trip. Initially, we were very excited about our food after a great appetizer, but as several tables full of people came and went while we waited it became obvious that our order had either been pushed back or forgotten about. No one came out to ensure us that our order was on its way or apologize for the delay. After almost an hour and a half we finally got our order, and had to take it to-go as we had plans back at our campsite. We drove 10 minutes back home only to realize that our food was cold and practically inedible. My daughter's pizza was cold and so soggy and wet it had leaked through the box, our fries were so old they were hard, and the rest of our meals and had clearly been sitting long before they were brought out to us. One item (the enchilada) was hot, which confirmed our suspicion that the rest of our food had likely been sitting for over an hour. It was our last night out before the end of our long weekend and we were very excited to have a nice meal and an evening out. Unfortunately, to say it was disappointing would be an understatement. Another point to be made was that the few times we did enter the restaurant it was full of flies and several people walking around with dirty bare feet.

Mama Sita's Cafe
Four grown men on a motorcycle trip stopped in for breakfast at this wonderful country restaurant with a laid back attitude. A busy place it seems to be the go-to eatery for both locals and travellers. All the staff were pleasant and helpful and the food was fantastic. So glad we stopped here.
