The Butchart Gardens
Beautiful garden! The grounds are very well maintained and are absolutely stunning. One of the best things to do while in Victoria.Fresh and pure air such a huge garden very close to nature everything is colourful. Restaurant, coffee shop and other shops inside the Garden. The amazing collection of impressive sculptures, bubbling fountains, and charming footbridges adds a touch of magic to your experience. The Ross Fountain is a must-see.

I had not been to the gardens in 20+ years, and wasn't sure how memory would compare to a tour with my family (including two children ages 9 and 11). The kids were not initially looking forward to the visit, but we made it into a big of an imaginative adventure walking through the various parts of the gardens. It's fantastically lovely, especially in season. Peaceful even with crowds. When I lived in British Columbia I enjoyed working on the same soil and with many of the same plants the staff do for gardening around my property, but boy do they take it to perfection.Just stunning.Getting food is a bit tricky and the lines to the two sit-down restaurants were out the doors. We ended up at the coffee shop, where there are some decent options.

As a garden lover, I highly recommend visiting The Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island. This world-renowned garden is a true masterpiece of horticultural design, featuring an incredible variety of flowers and expansive gardens that are sure to delight visitors of all ages. One of the most impressive aspects of The Butchart Gardens is the sheer diversity of flora on display. From delicate roses and vibrant dahlias to exotic orchids and towering sunflowers, there is truly something for everyone to admire. Whether you prefer the vivid colors of a traditional English garden or the subtle beauty of a Japanese-style landscape, you are sure to find something that speaks to your individual taste and style. In addition to its stunning array of flowers, The Butchart Gardens also boasts an impressive range of garden spaces, each with its own unique character and charm. Whether you are strolling through the tranquil waterscapes of the Sunken Garden, marveling at the intricate topiary in the Italian Garden, or exploring the lush foliage of the Mediterranean Garden, you are sure to be transported to another world entirely.Overall, I cannot recommend The Butchart Gardens highly enough. For anyone who loves nature, beauty, and the simple pleasures of life, this is a must-visit destination that will leave you feeling inspired and rejuvenated.

Fantastic get away. We went for high tea and to spend a couple of hours walking through the gardens. In the end, we actually spent 7 hours there. Perfect place to relax and enjoy a slow pace. It was crowded but we still really enjoyed our time there. Also, knowing that this used to be a cement quarry, really adds to the stunningness of the contrast.

All I can say is wow. Beautiful garden that shows a lot of TLC from the 50 gardeners. One cafeteria style restaurant and one reservation only restaurant. A great time for all and Saturday night even more special with fireworks. A must see if you're in the area.

On our Alaska cruise on Celebrity Solstice we stopped in Victoria Canada for a tour of the Butchart Gardens. This garden was absolutely beautiful and amazing the floral arrangements were so lovely the colors of the flowers popped in the sun light the walking path was rich with flowers of all kinds colors and shades. Each had their own unique shape and scent that enriched your sense of smell. This garden truly is a must see. I could only closely compare it to the richness of the gardens of Famed artists Claude Monet in Paris France. The Butchart Gardens is unique and beautiful truly a must see.

The Butchart Gardens are beautiful! We thought we would get through the whole park in 2 hours but we couldn't! So many unique and exotic flowers and lots of photo ops spots. We enjoyed it so much with our 2 year old toddler that we missed our ferry ride back to Vancouver. The park is really nicely maintained and there's a cute carousel for kids hidden in one of the gardens that was a big hit.

The gardens and entire location is absolutely beautiful, well-organized and a true delight to visit. We have heard about the gardens from family for years and missed an opportunity to visit 10 years ago. Even though we visited at night, we felt it was well worth it. We came on a cruise ship excursion and they remained open later so we could fully enjoy our visit. The lights were beautiful and added to the experience. Being in the evening, it was less crowded. We can’t wait to return!
