Very knowledgeable staff. When we first asked a staff who didn't know as much about local beer she called on another staff member who did know more, and that to me is a sign of great customer service.UPDATE: Went here a second time and Clint was a fantastic aid to us! He helped us chose wine, and told us about some of the local rum and whiskey.

Great single malt scotch selection now that it is a Signature store. Awesome staff is attentive and always helpful to customer needs.

Great staff, very knowledgeable

The lady's were great and helpful soon as I walked in the door. The guy stocking the shelves even took time out to say hello. They all seemed to love their jobs and were very nowledgable at it. It's the kind of service I was expecting in Cape Breton but haven't always received. I'm not much of a drinker but ill be back cause I felt welcome. I may be from away but it's because of the people that I moved here. Don't let covid change .

I only visited the cannabis dispensary at the back of the store (to the far right corner from the front entrance). Thankfully there was no line/queue so I was served right away. The member of staff who assisted me was very knowledgeable and helped me to discern which product would be the best in terms of the criteria I had set (namely to reduce pain without impairing ability to concentrate during the day, and to keep the pain levels down plus help me get off to sleep at night). The prices seemed reasonable to me in comparison to the cost of the prescription medications I take. I am pleased with the daytime option I chose (I took one capsule just before lunch) as it reduced pain without causing me any drowsiness and will be taking the nighttime option later to assess its efficacy. The photo shows one side of the paper bag into which my purchases were placed.

The store is bright and welcoming. Not overcrowded with stock so you can browse with ease. Staff are very friendly and knowledgable and never too far away when you need a hand. I'm not from Sydney River but I travel there specifically for this store as it always has the best variety and the more brews on hand. I'd give 10 stars if I could!
