Riverdale RV Park
Owners son who maintains the bathrooms and showers walked in on a couple friends and myself naked. We had bought a campsite just to shower and he stood in there for a good ten minutes yelling at as about how we weren’t supposed to be there. Didn’t back out when he saw us or apologize. Claimed it would take him three hours to clean (we made it spotless in five minutes and actually when we got there threw out a used condom from the shower) What a way to get welcomed to Canada, would give zero stars if I could

Very close to Louisburg, but not much of a campground. It's more so a parking lot for RVs that are visiting the Fort. And in that, it's fine. Has all services for RVs. Very small lots. Hardly any grass and the laundry room door was locked the entire time we were there.

Pros: excellent water pressure, electrical, and sewage systems; only 1 km to Fort Louisbourg Visitor Center and close to downtown; friendly helpfully staff (one guy -very hard worker), Con: sites are very narrow - if you have another trailer next to you there is only 8 to10 feet of space between; if your trailer is more than 25ft-ish you'll have to park tow vehicle elsewhere. N/As due to Covid camp washrooms are closed; downtown is pretty much a ghost town for tourist also because of Covid. Overall a good place. Fort Louisbourg very worth it.

Riverdale RV Park
The park is very well maintained, in fact seems to have been recently renovated. Bathrooms are shiny clean and new. The host (owner?) was friendly and accommodating. WiFi was strong and reasonably fast (not Netflix capable, of course). The little grocery store 20 meters from the park was very convenient.On the negative, the spaces were very close together, in two rows with no trees in the park. We were here in late September so the park was almost empty and we didn't feel crowded, but during peak season it will be cramped, with no shade on a hot day.

Good location. Clean facilities. Sites are a bit close to each other and not level so be prepared to use your own level device. Water pressure was high and could create problems unless you have a prv.

Darryl was a fine host. The tenting area worked perfectly and the cost was reasonable. Clean bathrooms and the grounds were well maintained.

I enjoyed the quiet and peaceful setting. Wifi was great. If I am ever in the area again I will be staying here.

Immaculate, clean and quiet campground & RV place, very close to Fortress Louisbourg and the wonderful Louisbourg Playhouse. We tented here and loved the well-built shelter and picnic table on a level slab that came with our spot, the clean facilities and (free!) showers as well as stable (and free) wi-fi. Highly recommended.

Darryl is very warm, welcoming and helpful. He keeps the campground and washrooms in pristine condition. We would definitely stay here again.
