We were told about this place by other persons,went in to make an appointment for brakes, we got one for may 4..arrived on time and was greeted nicely,and that dialogue continued thruout the 2.1/2. Hours there..the work was completed in a timely fashion,and we were shown the parts..The biggest standout observation was that unlike the dealerships, the mechanic did not dilly dally,idol chatter or worked on another vehicle .I would highly recommend this garage for any vehicle repairs

My experience with Hanthorns started out as a good one. They were honest, and reliable. During the month of August my transmission went on my SUV. I brought it to Hanthorns and decided to have it replaced as buying another car was not an option. There was sooooo much trouble with the replacement transmission....... back and forth to Hanthorns with hoses coming loose, fluid leaking, strange noises, engine revving too high. Finally got it back on a thurs. evening and took a drive to Belleville on the Sat. I didn't get too far down the 401 when some nice people pulled up along side of me and screamed at me that my car was on fire. Thank God I pulled over cuz my car was in flames and exploded 4 times. We stood on the side of the 401 and watched as my car burned to a crisp. Thank God no one was hurt. I could have died if the nice people hadn't alerted me. After all the reports were in, there was no evidence left in the car to show what caused the fire. The fire Chief claimed he saw a trail of transmission fluid all down the 401 and a hose hanging down from the engine area of my car. Hanthorns refused to refund me the full amount for the work they did on my car, even though it was most likely them who caused the fire. I would recommend to seriously think twice about taking your vehicle to Hanthorns, I'm only lucky to be alive today, I have no vehicle to drive and only a bit of insurance money to buy another car. I had to click on at least one star in order to post this, but actually they don't deserve even one star.
