Took the boat in for a tune up. He charged double what is listed on his website. Boat ran exactly the same as it did when I took it in. I contacted him back and his response was, “you should take it to a Mercury dealer”. Are you kidding? Why didn’t you say that before you took the money? He never made an offer to correct the issue. An absolute con. Wouldn’t trust him with anything. True colors came out.

Brought in my pontoon for a impeller . He yelled at me because he couldn't get it started after stating repeatedly he had 30 years experience with my engine. Stated he did a compressionh check after getting it started with ether.WHY?! Boat ran fine before I brought it to him. And after yelling at me he still asked if I wanted him to change the impeller and he hadn't even diagnosed that issue to see what was wrong. Run from this guy

Do not go here guy is extremely rude and not worth your time do not know if he even knows how to fix a boat? You can find way better mechanics for your time and money believe me their is a reason why he is cheaper. I only went through him because I had to have it fixed within a couple days and he was able to do it. I see why now because if he was actually good at what he does then he would have been booked up like all the other boat mechanics I called.

If I could make this a negative 1000 star review I would. Took a 25hp Honda outboard for a tune up/fluid change. Larry told me he took the boat out on the lake, cleaned the carbs and changed all the fluids but the motor still ran poorly. Told me it was junk and I should sell it for parts. For this minor amount of work and advice, he charged me $400. Fast forward a few months and I sell the boat for a loss because the motor is so poorly running. The guy who bought it took it apart and said the carbs were super gummed up and definitely hadn’t been touched. He cleaned them and said the motor is running like new.So not only did Larry lie to me about the work he did, he stole $400 from me. Stay away from this guy. Total con artist.

Extremely fast turn around time, fair pricing, and knowledgeable. I'll keep going back for my boat needs

WARNING!!! Terrible service!I had my Mercury Optimax 225 engine rebuilt by Larry's Marine Services. Twenty minutes into the break-in period the motor blew again. The motor has never run properly since. Larry is either incapable and/or will not fix the motor. Larry will not back his warranty and refuses to refund my money.Awful experience!!

They came through last minute before the freeze for winterizing my boat two years in a row. Super fast and good work.

Called Larry's after trying to find numerous mechanics to work on my outboard. Explained to him what was diagnosed by some other mechanics during a winterization last fall. He told me I would be wasting my money and to run the motor. I was very impressed that he would be straight up with me rather than try to take my money like most repair shops. Will use his services in the future.

Ok I am new to having to take my boat to a mechanic because I never have issues. However, I wanted it completely gone through and ready to go for the season this year. Larry had me drop it off and had my boat for about two weeks total. During this time, I constantly received video updates! He kept me informed about issues found and the plan of action to fix them! Not only was communication phenomenal, but the price of my bill was HALF of what it would have been at a larger shop. I seen some questionable reviews on this place but I gave it a shot and I am beyond happy with the service I received!!! He found problems I didnt know I had and it would have left me and my family stranded on the water! I'm telling all of my friends and family to NEVER go anywhere else!!!! Larry is the man!
