Just left the Edwardian Tea Room. What a special setting and experience. Appropriate ambience, clean, and quiet. We were given such personalized service by John and Cindy. Portions were great. Highly recommend.

This is one of best inns we have ever stayed in, anywhere. Cindy and John clearly love what they do. The attention to detail at every level was amazing. We stayed in Lydia's room. It was small, but still, in addition to the very comfy bed, had two chairs and a bistro table for reading or TV watching, a bedside table, a writing table, and a closet. Our private washroom was just across the hall and was very spacious. As others have mentioned, the made-to-order breakfasts were amazing, and there were extra little treats/snacks in the common area every afternoon. As an example of how accommodating these hots are, they loaned us camp chairs and blankets for the two days we spent at the Newfoundland Folk Music Festival (highly recommended, BTW), and allowed us to spend an extra couple of hours in the parlour after checkout before our afternoon flight home. Thanks Cindy and John for making our last few days in St. John's very special.

We can't say enough great things about Georgestown Inn. After a very long travel day, Cindy and John met us at the door with homemade slippers and a cup of tea. The choice of baked goods ready for eating was amazing. I think we cleared her out. They really think about the little extras that add up to a fantastic and very comfortable stay. The breakfast and coffee were also stellar. We got the sense that no matter what our request would be, Cindy and John would do their best to help make it happen. We will be back!

My two adult daughters and I stayed in Beth’s Suite at Georgestown Inn June 4-6 before heading out to other parts of Newfoundland. When we returned on June 10 (the afternoon before our flight back home), we talked about how it felt like coming home. We were walking distance to The Rooms, downtown and restaurants.Cindy and John are warm and outstanding hosts and attended to every detail to make us welcome, our stay comfortable, and our tummies happy with delicious made-to-order breakfasts and an all-day coffee/tea station featuring Cindy’s home-baked treats.I highly recommend this well-appointed B&B in a charming Edwardian house and will only stay at here whenever I return to St. John’s (maybe next time I’ll have a soak in the gorgeous claw-footed bathtub!).

We stayed at the Inn the weekend of April 2nd 2022 and it was one of the best and most charming places we have ever stayed throughout our travels. Cindy and John are the most engaging and warm people you will ever meet making sure that your stay is just right for you. We were able to enjoy the Edwardian Tea experience during our stay (and have since gone back!) with various teas and delicious homemade and carefully crafted sweets along with the rich stories and historical context that Cindy and John have to offer. The Inn is spectacular with the historical beauty, made to order to die for breakfast and stunningly decorated and appointed rooms. Thank-you Cindy John for everything, can’t wait to come back and recommend your Inn to our people within and outside the province!

We are just driving away from the Goergestown Inn, and Cindy and John, and are so sad to be leaving. We had such a wonderful stay. The place is gorgeous, close to everything, breakfast is unbelievable (the eggs are perfect!) and Cindy and John are so wonderful. We have traveled a lot, and honestly, I think this is our favourite place that we have ever stayed. Our 12 year old son Leo even said (unprompted) that they made him feel like he was at his grandparents house. If you are thinking of booking here, stop thinking and just book. We can’t wait to see you again Cindy and John - thank you!.

Georgestown Inn was absolutely the perfect place to stay. The hosts, John and Cindy, are extremely friendly and offered excellent recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing, the breakfast menu offers lots of options, and the food was delicious. The Inn is located within walking distance of George Street and Water Street for shopping and entertainment. The entire Inn is spotless - the staff is chosen carefully (Hi, Samantha!) and do a wonderful job! We were in Newfoundland for 15 days - we spent our first three nights and our last two nights at Georgestown Inn and they would be our first choice for accommodations on a return trip. As Cindy would say, Proper Ting". Georgestown Inn sets the gold standard for B&Bs."

Just an exceptional experience. Wonderful breakfast menu including veg/vegan flexibility. The innkeepers are smart, funny, and hardworking people who'll quickly become your friends too.Well-appointed rooms with cozy, homey amenities and a generous TV package. Walking distance to The Rooms (basically, provincial art and natural-history museum of NL, which was wonderful).

The B&B is located close to downtown St. John's, making it a great base for exploring the city. The hosts, Cindy and John, went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Our room was very comfortable, with a great bed and private bathroom across the hall. Breakfast was amazing; Cindy bakes up a storm and made our meals to order, and John waited on all the guests. They're both super friendly and interesting, and we had some great conversations. All in all, I would say it's the best B&B we've stayed in since our honeymoon in Scotland thirty years ago!
