I called this company for the vacuum stage of a mini split. Their web site says they generally service these units. The rep very rudely said they don't like to service self installed units. In other words, they want to charge the customer, what, $2500 each time. The unit itself cost $700, it's 110v, widely reviewed as decent, designed for end user connection but I wanted a professional to do the vacuum stage and was expecting to pay a specialist rate. However, companies like this one don't want to be professionals serving consumers, they want to act like a cartel, doing business exclusively on their terms.
