I have spent significant money there and have numerous pieces of equipment from them. They honour the deal. If you by something “as is” that’s what you get, if they say it’s “field ready” it absolutely is every time. Prices are fair by default.

Very disappointed overall. Past resident of Glengarry County now living in South Western Ontario. My brother travelled to Howes to look at and purchase a piece of equipment. Price and delivery details were agreed upon. Full payment was made. The equipment arrived with little warning of delivery and not in condition agreed upon (wheels were off). Howes would not answer phone when attempts were made by driver and purchaser to solve issues. Zero stars for customer service and honesty.

It's a shame there isn't a zero star option. Purchased a Claas 180 Variant RC baler from this dealership. Was assured that the baler would arrive having been service before it left the lot and field ready. Upon greasing, didn't find a drop of new grease on the baler.I always factor some small expenses into a purchase with no grief from me for a dealership. However, this baler arrived with a damaged rotocut unit that required welding 2 pieces back on to the unit. After pulling all of the twines and hay out of the jammed cutting system, I quickly realized that there was likely more issues to be found that prevented using the baler. I replaced 6 tines, which wasn't really an issue as I was prepared for this type of a purchase but there were 3 knives missing on the baler, most likely due to a large piece of debris (rock more than likely) that went through the baler.On the electrical end, the baler arrived without a two pole cable to power the baler, so another cost and something else that prevented any type of field readiness". Today

Had a bad experience here. Bought a round baler field ready...when if showed up at my house it ended up needing $3000 in repairs done to it and was missing a monitor as well as I still cant get the net wrap system to work. Obviously was not tested or looked over at all.

Best place to buy heavy / ag equipment . Lyman runs a first class operation .

Purchased a Case mx230.... little did we know it was rigged up. Come to find out the engine was abused and pistons were white from ether abuse or engine got too hot. Will never do business there ever again. Should be Ashamed of yourselves. But greed and lying is the salesman game.
