I have been coming here since just a young kid; in the winter, we came to go sledding on the big hill, and we loved it; in the summer, it was hiking the trails. As an adult I came out to camp and hike abd of course as a local boy I never hiked the conventional trails always going down game trails or just taking off into the bush to see where we would end up. Anyway, I love this place and anyone looking for good family friendly camping I definitely recommend, it's not a place to go partying and getting drunk, it's not a bad place to have a couple of drinks with family and friends but to get drunk find somewhere else because of course people are going to get cranky about that, especially since they probably have kids with them, people go and enjoy every Edsonites favorite place to camp, hike, bike, and even enjoy in the winter you'll love it!!

Great camping spot for anyone prepared properly. There are no services (and lot to no cell service). But the area is absolutely beautiful. Nice modest park for the kiddos with a Green Shed full of toys and activities to keep everyone busy (parachutes, sack race sacks, Wiffle ball, trucks and bubble blowers). The river is high right now so it wasn't save to play directly in, but the water front area still had lots of sand, but again, dropped off quickly to deeper faster water so we aware). Lots of trails to explore, self registration ($17/night). Was great to share some of my childhood with my family.

I have camped at this location a few times. They accomodate tents as well as campers. I tent. I cannot say enough and words cannot describe exactly how kind and accomodating the gentleman who runs this facility is. They also allow pet which is a huge plus. Clean and large sites. Lots to do in Edson and fishing is steps away. This is definitely one of my favorite spots.

Good trails. Lots of roots. I want to return once the bike park is complete. From what we saw it will be solid. Also missed getting on some trails due to repair work being done but that is good means next time they should be good to go. Makes a nice day trip from Edmonton

We went for the day to do a short hike and swim in MacLeod River. The trail we took was well maintained and the signage was pretty good for the first bit of the hike (we had to guess which trail was which after about 10 minutes in). On a whim, we took a side trail" down to the river that was quite steep. It was totally worth it because we found a great spot to swim and cool off.Great place and I'm hoping to go back soon."

Had a wonderful time yesterday. We went sledding down the hill and I took the grankids for a ride in the sled while I pulled and walked about 8 blocks. I got my exercise and the grandkids laughed at gramma struggling with the weight of 3 of them. Weather was -12. But the fresh air and not having to wear that ridiculous mask was well worth it. Went again today pulled the grandkids again. Beautiful place. Enjoy everyone.

One of my favorite trails so far, it seems to be mainly made for biking but it's nice for a walk/hike as well, the ground is softer than any other trail I've gone on so far, just starting out, so let's say around 5, 6 trails so far

Very nice camping location. No hook ups. But non the less a wonderful place to camp. Do recommend it. Nice small kids park. Free firewood. And not expensive to camp.

Love this place, great hiking, river is fairly inviting. I’ve played at this place ever since I was little and I love going back.As some reviews stated the horseflies are ridiculous but other than that it’s great. Camp sites are huge, affordable and firewood is provided
