Thorncliffe Banquet Centre

Hi. I just had my event last night and I would like to say a few things. I am going to be blunt and honest.As a first time customer of this hall AND Afghan, I was very displeased and dissapointed by this place and its management.Feom the beginning...Theu told us we could set up the night before. While driving there, they tell us there is an event.We arrived to set up for wedding at noon (after calling to see if it is being cleaned)..we then arrived an hour later to find nothing has been cleaned (garbage all over the floor, old linens on the tables and chairs, old backdrop still up) and nobody there. We called Qadir, one of the owners and he says someone is on their way, 40 mins go by, still nobody shows up.Myself and my Bride to be were forced to begin removing old linens from their event last night.The owners of the hall they gve us all the rice and shami kobob which was nice BUT went dry and bad the next day.Meanwhile, we were not told where the rest of the left overs went. I can only assume that it was given to his under paid staff that showed up much later than promised.Since my Bride to be had appointments to go to and prepare for our event...i stayed from Noon to 1 pm cleaning last nights mess and decor. When 3 of their workers showed up, they were slow and reluctant to do as instructed properly.Any time myself, my bride to be or any of my family members made a request (for small plates, and extra table to display gifts etc) we were met with excuses and reasons why it cant be done or why (in their opinion) it would look bad.My parents are had working, respectable people who paid their hard earned money to have this event. I did not voice my overall feeling there because I did not want to upset my parents.But to the rest of the GTA community, please avoid dealing with this venue.You dont get what you paid for..Also...bring your own fans. Their air conditioning system is weak or non existent.

I hired them to do catering for my wedding 600+ people and all I can say is that they went waaaaay beyond my expectations! My favourite part of was they way they decorated the deserts table and he food was amazing. Although a lot more people showed up then in my contract with them they did not overcharge me... needless to say I would recommend these folks 1000% as they are great people to deal with and professional.

Awesome experienceThorncliffe banquet hall was a great venue everyone was so nice and so helpful fast responses. The day before our engagement we went to drop off our centerpieces and they had set it up already and wow it blew my mind away I was holding back my tears. They are so organized, Masood and Qadeer and all the other people were just fantastic and the food was amazing everyone loved it. Thank you so much Thorncliffe Banguet Hall and team on your amazing work. I will defiantly recommend Thorncliff Banquet Hall!!!

We had our wedding catered by Thorncliffe Banquet. We had a very large and extravagant wedding, we were going to go with a well known, reputable caterer, but decided to go with Throncliffe Banquet, who is newer, but we wanted something different, than the same old typical Afghan food that you have at all the other weddings. We made the best decision ever, the food and service was superb and to say we were impressed is an under statement.Every single guest that we had was impressed. We were so happy that our food was so unique from most of the other weddings we attended before and after.We would really promote them and put their name out there since a wedding is the best day of someones life and its very important to celebrate with great food and great friends.

I can't even begin to express how amazing this venue is. There isn't enough words to accurately describe how AMAZING they are. I dealt with Masood and Qadeer and can honestly say these gentlemen actually care about you and your party whether its engagement or wedding or birthday. They were beyond accommodating, had amazing advice to give and were just INCREDIBLE to deal with. On my engagement day I literally had nothing to worry about. The venue took care of everything!!!! The food was amazing, everything came out on time, hot and tasty. I would highly recommend this place for any event. It's super clean, gorgeous, affordable, and they have people that work for this venue who go above and beyond to take care of you. Thanks again and as I said... I literally can not thank you guys enough.

Wonderful time My event went just as it was pictured in my head. Thumbs up for sure and I'll be coming back next year for sure loved everything about the place and service was superb.

I had my wedding a few weeks back. Now that I am back from my honeymoon I have to take sometime to thank the place I had my reception at. First of all I was recommended by one of my close friend about this place.It's called Thorcliffe Banquet Center.It is absolotely amazing ( you can check the web site), the decor is stunning, the food delicious, the service was great (with a capital G). The owners were very accommodating. I would definitely recommend THORNCLIFFE BANQUET CENTER to anyone looking for a banquet hall.
