Wonderful people. Extremely knowledgeable. Some people are complaining about how their fish died but they just need to simply listen to what they tell you about how to acclimate your fish and they will thrive. Anyway, go check them out, super cool set up too!

The place has a large variety of fish and reptiles. That being said I feel like they have bitten of more then they can chew because some fish and reptiles seem to be neglected. The axolotl’s are in pretty rough shape and the tank is filthy, defiantly not even close to ideal water conditions to keep them healthy, their gills should be nice and feathery and these are the worst I’ve seen. Also saw a dead lizard laying on its back. Looked like it’s been laying there for a couple of days based on the conditions. I just feel like they are trying hard but need to scale back on their fish and reptiles to provide adequate care! Won’t write them off because I would like to see them carry on with business. Good luck in the future and hopefully can bring up the standards.

This place is amazing. SO many amazing animals and the cages are very clean and they all look healthy. Very much a place where the staff obviously care and put the work needed into housing the snimals in their care. Huge fish tanks for sale and all the parts and pieces you could ever want for any set up. The double display when I walked in would be in my living room, except then I'd have no couches left. Fish tank on the top, open water/land environment at the bottom. So very cool.

When the place opened up I was happy that finally there is a place other than big Al’s. Did my lots of purchase from this place. But recently I have noticed they have jacked up their prices. Not just a little bit a lot. I was shocked to see the prices of a fresh water fish compare to the other fish store places. Won’t be stepping in there.

I’ve found many gems at Tropical Gems. They have your usual bread and butter but I’m well versed with major and independent fish stores and I find they carry more interesting and rare inhabitants that many hobbyists and aquascapers would be looking for. I have many fish from them and they are all doing great.They also have lots of unique dry goods, an excellent selection of hardscape and a wide variety of different fish foods. I find that independent shops like this have a lot more to offer in the aquarium hobby.You’re bound to find something unique at Tropical Gems.

I like going here, the staff do their best and and so friendly. The only thing I would suggest would be to have someone there who knows more about the fish earlier in the day and more days of the week. Otherwise it is a good place to go. Good selection of fish and reptiles.

Nice range of reptiles and products. I had given a 5-star a year ago, but I am changing my rating. I had purchased an uncommon reptile (a year ago) under the impression that it was a certain subspecies. Being an uncommon reptile, I trusted their judgement/expertise. This subspecies resulted in a higher price. I had realized about 6 months later that this subspecies was not correct, and recently had my suspicions confirmed by someone who has said reptiles. I would be weary on what they are trying to sell under a certain name.

Amazing. I'm not really into reptiles and stuff, but my wife loves them. We went there and were super impressed. Really friendly staff, and when I can get my aquarium going again, I will shop here.
