Gorgeous morning at the park. Nice new boardwalks smelling of cedar, red wing blackbirds singing in the marsh, and ducks in the lake.

Lovely little park built on site of former coal mine. Lots of trails and new bridges over the marshy bits. At least one beaver in residence and loads of ducks. Tennis courts, baseball field and small playground. Only one picnic bench.

Part of my bike ride route. I feel safe even while riding through at night. Not a high volume traffic park. The people are always nice...best of all the park has yet to be over run by the blight plaguing our beloved city...the homeless...let's hope it stays that way!

We had a short walk around the lake with my daughter. She enjoys playing with the geese swimming at the edge of the lake. There was tennis court, bike tracks and fishing place along the area.

Cougars in area beware ! Nice trails and BMX trail aswell good fishing
