Thrifty Car Rental

Rented from Hertz. Went early before opening and was surprised to see a line up outside, but staff were quick. Monika took care of my request. If the staff is reading this, please remind customer that after hour drop off has no humans to help and drive all the way to the lowest level. As other reviewer mentioned it was horrendous to find the drop box at the basement. I took me full 35 mins to find it. There is no exit from B3 level to walk out. Tried B2 exit there were junkies in the staircase. Retraced my steps to main entrance to exit. Didnt feel safe. There were no human in sight to ask for help.

Location is great and very central in downtown which is super convenient. The price is also great and not inflated.Few things to improve:1) the employee didn't know much about loyalty points so she couldn't add my loyalty number to the booking2) the garage is quite dirty and smelly. The stairs and elevator are quite disgusting. There needs to be a deep wash and regular maintenance there.3) there was not an employee in the garage when i picked up the car AND when i dropped off the car. they kept telling me someone will be there, but they weren't.4) hours of operation are limited

If I could get less stars I would. Traveling from Toronto I need to get to Calgary for my flight from Vancouver. I made my reservation well in advance. They cancelled it 24 hours before pickup. Their reason was that people keep dropping these cars off at different places. Shouldn't they have a car reserved? I had a good price and now 24 hours before pick up I'll have to pay over 2000 dollars rather than the rate I had of 850. This is just ridiculous. Looks like my family of 5 will have a great time getting to Calgary by Uber. What a great vacation!!!! Terrible customer service. Do not recommend

Worst service, after weeks of being charged 400$ for a broken windshield I am told thrifty is right to charge for a broken windshield when there is no clear sign of damage.This could have happened long before my rental without being noticed. Totally unfair, book elsewhere.

We rented a car from this location on April 14th and got a free upgrade to the Tesla! The staff (especially Noor), was so helpful, they just go out of their way to make it super easy and convenient for you to rent the car. We were tourists and they explained the whole after hoot returning process to us with a lot of patience and answered all our questions! Noor assured us to not worry and call anytime we had a question. I highly recommend this location! Excellent in all aspects!

The staff was very good. There were lot of customers on Sunday afternoon but the staff was relentlessly working to process the bookings as soon as possible. I really appreciate the service provided by Noor - she was very pleasant to talk to and helped me with my booking. Thank you!

The staff was really helpful and friendly! We rented a vehicle while on vacation in Vancouver, and the price compared to other rental companies was really good!

They are thieves and fraudsters. I would give them 0 stars. I had a pre-paid rental car booking directly through the Thrifty website. The called me the day before the reservation and told me that they have no vehicles for me because their vehicles had been vandalized. The branch told me to call Thrifty directly to which I did. Thrifty uses a third party to process payments made on their website, which I did not know. When I called Thrifty for my refund as they had no car, they told me to call the third party payment processor. I did not have the name or contact for the 3rd party as all my correspondence was directly with Thrifty. They provided me with a number which is discontinued. To add to my frustration I was charged me $5.00 for the phone call. I have yet to receive a return of my money for a vehicle I was not provided. Further I was charged twice for the same rental. Very disappointed in the customer service and the communication. Avoid the Thrifty Car Rental and this branch at all costs.

Avoid like the plague! We had pre- booked & paid for a Corolla (or equivalent) but they would not supply what we had booked & insisted that we had to use a Tesla, bringing on bad range anxiety as we drove through the mountains. Hoping their sister branch in Kamloops will change vehicle

Had to turn around a few times as there were no signs that the car drop off was at the car park in the first photo. After that, go straight to the lowest basement and drop key in the black box (Third picture).
