Mazzei Electric

I recently called Mazzei Electric for urgent service when the power service to my house was disrupted unexpectedly. The electrician on-call (Curt) shortly after my call. I appreciated his calm analytical approach to the problem which was resolved fairly quickly. Thank you for this service!

I own an older home and was doing a kitchen reno and adding underfloor heating in a bathroom. At the same time, there were other issues in the house - circuit overloads etc. Joey from Mazzie was friendly, courteous and incredibly efficient - he resolved all my issues, found solutions for everything, kept me informed about everything that needed attention. I could not have been happier with the work that Joey did. I had a minor issue with billing - not a problem with the amount charged, but there was some confusion about the items on the invoice, as I needed details in order to claim some of the work as a business expense. This was quickly and courteously resolved. I highly recommend Mazzei, and Joey in particular. I will definitely use them should I need electrical work in the future.

I work at a busy emergency vet hospital, and we hired Mazzei Electric to come and adjust some wiring to accommodate some new medical equipment.The booking process was smooth, and the estimator was thorough explaining what would need to be done. Communication was clear and open, and we had the parts on order and a service date in the books quickly. Adam and Hugh came over a period of two days. They were very professional, and respectful of working around the emergency procedures occurring throughout the day. They worked efficiently and cleaned up after themselves at the end of their day.The equipment has been working great, and we would 100% recommend them and their company to come back.Edit to add: We called Adam back for an urgent service call to fix a couple of loose wall switches that were causing safety concerns. He was able to come same day, and quickly addressed our concerns. Thanks again!

We were so pleased with the entire experience that we received from this team. We had a bit of a complicated issue that left half our house without electricity, and despite being fully booked, they managed to squeeze us in and accommodate us just one day after we called. Everyone was so polite and understanding and just a pleasure to deal with. Dean Howden was our electrician and he was an absolute wizard. He was able to troubleshoot and problem solve until he found the source of our problem (which wasn’t an easy one to find). He was courteous, efficient and very knowledgeable. We’ll undoubtedly be using Mazzei again for any of our electrical needs and couldn’t recommend them enough!

I contacted Mazzei to install two ceiling fans in my apartment. It’s not just that Stewart was extremely knowledgeable and professional (which he was). He was also communicative, good-natured despite sweltering conditions; he listened to my concerns as a renter, and he worked quickly. When there was a problem with a component of one fan, he went above and beyond to obtain a replacement part. All around, absolutely the best experience I’ve ever had with a contractor.

If I could give a o I would. They did not co -ordinate with hydro so were not on site when the piwe was hooked back up, thank goodness the breaker was off they were supposed to come and make sure everything was safe and fix any deficiencies .Well they came and were only there for an hour and couldn't get out of there fast enough even though they were booked for the day. Curt told us wto make sure we had light fixtures for anywhere that did not have any, he also told us to have a heater for the 1 room that did not have one and wire could not be seen. When I mentioned this to the 2 guys that were doing the work I was told that would have to be done the next time. So in other words I would have to call them out again and pay for another call. So now I have aheater wiring that has been capped off. They did not put a gfi outlet in the bathroom or label the fuse panel properly, so now on top of everything else I have no power at all because I had to turn off the main breaker and it will nit turn back on.I will have to pay another electrician to come in to try and figure out what is going on and figure out what they actually did or did not do. Totally bad experience from start to finish.

Shawn was amazing - there exactly on time, pleasant and professional, understood the job and worked around some tricky wiring puzzles and got our sauna up and working. Strongly recommend. This same company did our electrical generator install and we were very pleased with them - that's why we went back to them again. Like most high quality companies they are very busy and in demand - but they are worth waiting for.

I can still remember my dad doing his own electrical work. He was a food broker, but that never stopped him. The sparks and sounds of arcing were positively delightful to a child of 7. I mention this because Curt and Hugh were the exact opposite. My dad held the brown standard in being knocked clean off his feet while wiring his own version of a 20 amp fuse. I will hire Mazzei again in a heartbeat. They checked in during decision making prior to drilling, followed up quickly and did great work installing an EV charger and 60 amp circuit. The work area was left cleaner than before they arrived. The glowing reviews are right on target. Curt and Hugh: thank you both.

We had Curt and Hugh out to put a distribution line mast on our house and they were awesome. All my communications with Mazzei clear and timely. Curt and Hugh were on time, on budget, and took the time to explain issues they encountered in the job. 10/10 would hire again. Thanks guys!
