I had the opportunity to attend Let’s Get Quizzical event last night with the team at BALANCE and it was amazing! It was a fun, well-organized, and met many great people through break out rooms. Looking forward for the next one!

Truly caring, skilled and resourceful staff, offering helpful services in tech, orientation and mobility and much more to enable visually impaired individuals to live more engaged and self-sufficient lives. Both individual and group classes, on-site, in home and other locations. Was lucky enough to work there, witness the work they do and engage with the great clients. Access by subway; also WheelTrans drop off to mall location (DundasWest, The Crossways). Great people are what makes this non-profit special!

Found out my sister quit due to being bullied by her supervisor. (Microaggressions/passive aggressive).Very disapointed as I seen how much she enjoyed having a chance to use her skills. Not accomadating and ableist toward the blind and visually impaired staff I guess. I hope someone else has a beter experiencePlease do speak up when you feel bullied.
