Deer Lake Playground
Deer Lake is a small park situated inside the city. It's a good walk on trails. About 1.5 hrs for a slow comfortable speed. Great place to take the whole family, including the furry friends, as long as they are on leash. There is also a bathroom on the way and Hart restaurant for a fancy feast (be sure to reserve)

What a nice park. You can go for a walk (even around the lake), see birds, watch the sunset, and more. It can actually get busy sometimes.

Best place for kayaking or boring in the evening.. there are amazing boat rentals at this place. The kayaks and 2 seater boats are for just 25$ per hour and you can take a small 2-4 year old kid also along with you..

I think calling it a playground may be a bit of a stretch, as it's only 6 swings ,but the location is fantastic.Located on the deer lake beach, overlooking the lake with downtown visible behind.

Its a beautiful area. Lots of activities to do. Boating, kayaking and hiking. Bring your own equipment or rent from the shop at the lake. Also a nice 5km walk around the lake if you are interested.

One of the best places to go for a walk or relax at Deer lake in Burnaby. Love this location. Go fishing, watch the ducks, pheasants, geese or occasional hawk and walk the many trails around Deer lake. At dusk listen for the Barred owl hooting and maybe catch a glimpse of one flying low in the grasses. One of my favorite locations in the greater Vancouver area ☺
