Stanley Park Baptist Church

One of the worst churches I have ever attended, they seem to have their stuff together from the outside, but once you join you really see that it isnt all as it might seem.Their Hierarchy system is entirely flawed, all about the guidelines and rules unless they decide to do something different than they throw out their rules and do whatever they want (literally going against their own concepts), the board is in charge, but the the pastor has a huge influence, also the pastors father is on the board who acts as a in between for the church and the pastor, talk about a biasm. Staff can not be board members, but the association paster is on the board...The majority of my troubles at the church was no one was willing to talk about obvious problems at the chirch and when I brought these serious concerns to the church leadership, I was disfellowshiped and fired from my job at the church as a cleaner. Thats scary. Seriously.Though truthfully if we had kids we didnt know if this would be a safe place for them to attend anyways, so not staying I think is a huge thanks in the long run.My wife and I will never attend this church again, fake smiles and questionable biblical standards. Speaking as a past student of the bible with a bachelor of religious education and theology, I can say that their doctrine is not sound, and if your of the LGBTQ+ community you would not feel safe here.I will pray for them and forgive them for their terrible attitude towards myself and others who sincerely wanted to fix problems being seen in multiple areas of governance, in the end my wife and I are better elsewhere. Such a scary place to worship.0/5 stars

An Overwhelmingly positive experience at Stanley Park Baptist. I became a Christian through the youth program over 25 years ago...gosh! The incredible memories I will cherish forever with fellow brothers and sisters. Being supported during my theological training at college. Having ministry chances for me to grow and learn to lead and love people as best I can as Jesus did. Members of Stanley Park model Christ like kindness and giving. Generosity and forbearance. Gentleness and respect. The current Pastor is the most patient, kind-hearted, giving, selfless man I have ever met in my life. I am forever blessed to know him over the many years. The team at Stanley Park is for you and in loving-kindness allows for growth, for you to have a voice and to know that you belong. My journey has led me on from Stanley Park, but I thought I would send a postcard back to them and to anyone looking for a church. Right and correct beliefs are important but without love...what are we? I highly recommend this family of disciples to be the people you serve and love Jesus with and follow our Lord in His Kingdom
