I found myself wondering this morning why Gamestop Customer Service online was so awful, so I called in 3x in 3hrs to their Customer Service line to speak to a Supervisor. Each time I was told the only supervisor is out on lunch. 3+ hour lunch seems pretty sweet.Even more frustrated, I thought surely a call to head office would get me to an adult human being, nope! Don't bother calling their head office, apparently they are currently closed but their front end says their hours of operation are Monday to Friday 0830-1700... Currently it a Monday, March 21 at 1330...So the customer service supervisor is out to lunch and head office is on permanent weekends and the company is being run by a bunch a 20 somethings that can't do anything but blame their vendors for their inability to fulfill orders. Ridiculous.

Great company! Great experience!Pre-ordered Farming Simulator 22 Collectors Edition, something happened and I didn't get it for a few weeks (not that big of a deal). So I got in contact with customer service, who was super kind and helpful, and told them what was happening. They updated the district manager who ended up pulling one from another store and shipped it to my store for pick up (made me feel important lol).While picking up my Farming Simulator, I inquired about a Nintendo Switch which I've wanted for awhile. Me being a console/pc gamer I did not know much about the switch or games, the super friendly and helpful staff, took the time to talk to me for like half an hour about all the games and got me up to speed on the switch, that made my purchase feel much more confident to me.All in all, I love Gamestop! Will always purchase my games and future products from Gamestop!

Traded in my PS4 Pro on Monday for $300, with the intention of purchasing a PS5. Called the store Wednesday to hold a PS5 that had come in, but was told I would have to buy a bundle including a game I don't want and an additional controller I don't need. Hard pass.Later that night I get a marketing e-mail advertising $450 for the same console towards a PS5. Literally days after Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend, they're offering a vastly superior trade-in promo.I spoke with the store, customer service, and a district manager to no avail. They were very nice and professional, but weren't able to do anything. So, here's a one-star review.

Very Horrible Experience with online shopping. Placed an order for PS5 on 12 May, its been more than 2 weeks. I haven't heard back from Game stop. No help have been offered. They are asking me to purchase another one. I've spent my time and money. I don't expect such services from anyone. Horrible customer service

So this happened, I placed an order online to pick up at this store:GAMESTOP:SOUTH COMMON CENTREI found out at the store that I ordered a wrong version so I asked to return the item right away but they told me that they could only do a refund as a gift card. I told them I would like a refund back to my original form of payment (Credit Card), but they insisted to refund me a gift card saying that their system showed I paid for my online order using a gift card which was obviously a lie. The tricky thing is both the order received email and ready-for-pickup email don’t have any info on payment amount or payment method. Luckily, I have an account on their website and I was able to pull the transaction history to show them that I clearly paid for this order using a credit card. And that’s when they finally processed my refund back to my credit card.So people long story short: DO NOT let them trick you into taking a gift card as a refund! What they’re trying to do is increasing their store sale by selling a gift card disguised as a refund after they cancel your online order.
