Shoppers Drug Mart

After 10 years using this pharmacy, we're done! When Karim owned the pharmacy it was great. When the new owner came (Nancy something) it went downhill. Yesterday was the last straw of repeatedly not having our Rx's ready when they say they will. My husband went to pick up his Rx that I had called in for a refill FOUR days earlier and had asked about 3 different times and it STILL wasn't ready even though I was told that it would be ready by yesterday morning. When I called them to ask them why his Rx still wasn't ready, the girl gave me every excuse in the book. First she said they were really busy". When I told her "Well so am I! I called the Rx in 4 days ago!" then she said they hadn't heard back from our Dr. I knew that was not true. One excuse they always use is that they faxed the Dr but have not heard back. If I wait 4 or 5 or 7 days for a Rx refill

I don’t understand the negative reviews that I read. I have been a customer since this Shoppers first opened and had nothing but fine customer service. First with Karim Francis and now with the new owner, Nancey Thomas. I have a fairly complex medication profile, which sometimes necessitates several visits weekly. The staff are very efficient and quick to help. I have always found them to go the extra mile, even if I am at fault. They keep me organized. I will admit that the store can get very busy at times but I have never waited more than 20 minutes for a new prescription that I needed immediately.Keep up the good work!

Tonight I had an extremely bothersome experience with the over weight pharmacist Christiane Cafrune. It started when she made me wait a long minutes while she was surfing the internet. she asked me for my health card and I nicely handed it to her and she instantly was offended and got her back up because it wasn’t the right colour… she then followed by telling me that the card doesn’t work and will not work and is unacceptable! I replied to her attempting to educate her, that the older health card is in fact still valid and she told me she won’t be able to do it! She still took the card and and advised me that I pant have to pay $20 consulting fee, which I had no issues with either way, because I told her it will go through. She asked me for licence because she needed to make a profile, but I am certain I already had one there. I asked if it was kind of like a mini walk in, as this was my first time doing this. She then got annoyed and rolled her silly eyes at me. I asked her why she was giving me attitude and why she was so emotional over a red and white card. It’s her job to Sever a client/ patient. She then followed by telling me that she was not going to serve me because I swore at her. I asked her nicely what her meaning of a “swear word” is because I never used profanity with her and was always profesional, unlike the actual professional is on duty at work. Next week I am having a very abrasive surgery due to a scary cancerous disease. I did tell her why i was there and she still shooed me away. Christiane , i highly recommend that you take some sensitivity courses and brush up on your disabilities act because you are lacking any empathy and respect that is a baseline for being in healthcare! Disgusting !

Switched pharmacy for our whole family of 5. For about a year we kept being charged full price for prescriptions despite being on 2 100% registered additional drug plans. Every time we go in they have not kept the information on file (has happened 6 times now in 2022 alone) and we have had to wait over an hour while they call each plan for the family member. Our information was not being saved at the pharmacy despite many frustrating attempts to fix it with pharmacy team members. Every time they have someone working at the front of the pharmacy I am given a blank look and they have to get someone else to help. Very poor customer service, untrained staff. Do not recommend this pharmacy, they used to be great but since 2020 nothing but a headache.

Clearly, customer satisfaction is not what the pharmacy at this location strives for.The Shoppers on Essa we first stopped at was unfortunately out of stock of an over-the-counter medication. Not a big deal, as we discovered that the Cundles location had stock! Great! Willing and able, we drove all the way across Barrie to pick it up, to which they told us that they were reserving it only for people with prescriptions. They didn’t even see if there was anything they could do for us.We thought this a little weird, so we called 2 other Shoppers locations, and they were both shocked upon hearing this. One location was even willing to order it and pick it up from the Cundles location! Now THAT is customer service!!! There must be more money in the prescription for them at Cundles.Luckily, the location on Bayfield had stock and didn’t ask for a prescription!Will NEVER be returning to the Cundles location for any pharmacy needs.

Danielle Collingbourne at the Barrie Cundles location is by far the ONLY Beauty Specialist I will ever receive cosmetic advice from.Not only did she help with the wrong colour of foundation i had when I also didn't have the receipt with me, she also took the time and patiently listened to my concerns and matched me with a colour best suited for my skin tone.THANK YOU DAN for all your help!!!

Very disappointed in the customer service experience from the pharmacy. Sent there from another shoppers to pick up Dukoral (over the counter drug) as they had plenty in stock and was refused because I didn’t have a prescription even though one is not needed unless you want it covered under a drug plan. Called other shoppers back and they offered to order and pick it up for us from there because they were shocked we got refused. Will never be going back to this shoppers again. Thanks to the shoppers on Bayfield I got it.

Every time I went in to fill a prescription, there was a problem. Blatantly incompetent and no respect for people's health. Didn't want to fill the prescription so started making stuff up. First they couldn't update my address without confirmation from my doctor that I moved. Then they needed to confirm the prescription was still valid, even though I'd had it filled recently. Now, they claim they need my new family doctor to refer me to get reassessed to make sure I still need to be on it, even though the medication is for the management of asthma.Save yourself the trouble, go somewhere else.

I've had a brutal weekend with sciatica pain that has been literally crippling. I could not walk for the first hour or two of each day this weekend due to the excruciating pain. I've had my share of injuries from football, hockey and rugby over the years but this pain takes the cake. I finally managed to get a prescription for painkillers by Sunday evening and the pharmacy staff were very helpful in getting it filled so that I wouldn't be tortured for another day. I'd give them a 6 out of 5 if I could. Thank you very, very much for being so helpful!

I was at shopper drug Mart at tunnels RD east to day at 12 noon. Iwent to beauty department. I meet the manager by name of Sabrina. I was looking for Marcella creme. She help me to get my stuff. Amazing personality and very pleasant. Good job and keep up the good work.
