The food was really hearty and delicious! We were traveling in Edmonton... We went to this restaurant on a friend's recommendation and had a really enjoyable evening! A must if you come to Edmonton in summer! I will eat dinner at this restaurant again!

Nice place for a fancy meal with friends.The taste and quality of the food was great and presentation was done quite well.The staff were all really friendly!You sit at a long bar, rather than a curved bar around a cooking surface, so the only comfortable conversation will be with the people directly beside you.Over all a great experience and we all enjoyed the food!

We got takeout from Moonga Sashimi, and it came beautifully enclosed in a black tray. Moonga Sashimi definitely knows how to give a good impression.While I don't recall the names of all the sushi we ordered, I can tell you that I enjoyed each piece. The sushi was well-formed and cut nicely. The fish tasted decent, and we cleaned out the tray. Nothing was left. That's a good sign that we enjoyed the meal.

What an amazing experience. My wife took me out for my birthday and it was non stop joy. This is definitely a place to bring someone for a special occasion. The staff are amazing and attentive. The food is spectacular. Watching the staff prepare your meal is amazing. I'd recommend booking far in advance. This is a bar style, served each course type of experience. The menu does change so a revisit is a must.

The atmosphere and presentation of the food was amazing. The price isn’t that bad for a fancy dinner if you don’t do the omakase. The moonga special roll h ad great portions and was delicious.

I went here for the first time yesterday to celebrate a friend's birthday. My friends and I really enjoyed our time here.The food, their accommodation to my booking changes, their presentation, their clean space, and their staff's welcoming presence.It exceeded my expectations. You can tell that the chef and owner himself shows a great deal of care to his customers by preparing the sushi himself, giving us complimentary birthday ice cream, and even playing birthday music! My boss is very picky with his food but he recommended this place to us so many times. He even gifted us a gift card and REQUIRED us to come here. Decided to take a chance and drive for 40 minutes to try out and I have to say Moonga is the very best Japanese restaurant out there. The chefs were all very attentive, the host was lovely, the dining experience was way on top. Gosh, even the soy sauce bottle was cool.Thank you so much for the excellent meal. Will definitely come back one day.

Absolutely one of the best places in the city for Sashimi.This place is a whole-in-the-wall location and a hidden jem. Make sure to book a reservation in advance as seating is very limited. On a positive note, it makes for a very personal experience with the chefs only a few feet away.The plating and aesthetic of dishes make every dish Instagram worthy. Above all else, the freshness and flavor of each bite leaves no competition.

I spent a wonderful birthday night here. My partner asked the restaurant if there were any birthday celebration treats when he booked the seats. At that time, the restaurant said they did not have such experiences. But when I finished my last main course and prepared for the dessert last night , birthday music suddenly came up, and then the dessert was beautifully decorated with birthday blessings. I was so surprised and delighted that I was told to be the first customer ever to have this experience. The food is good.
