I booked an appointment online and when I arrived at the Grooming salon, they told me they do not accept new clients. That was not written on the website. Eventually they told me they can do a haircut, but they will charge me $100 for a haircut. Before, I used to live in downtown and visited Toilettage Felinus every 3-4 months (and used to pay $50 + tax). When we moved to Saint Hubert I had to find a new place (we don’t have a car) and, unfortunately, I stumbled upon this grooming place which is the closest to us. I agreed for the haircut because I didn’t have a choice. I took a day off from my work to walk all the way from home to this place. The worst thing happened when they started shaving my cat. I was told at Felinus (and one other place located on Plateau Mont Royal) that my cat is one of the most quiet and peaceful cats they have ever encountered. When I told that at Stars Canins, they told me “yeah yeah sure everyone tells us this about their cats”. I felt offended because my cat IS kind and quiet, at Felinus they used to pet him during the grooming process and talked to him throughout the process to make him feel safe and calm. At stars canins, they tied him up using the same collar they use for dogs and didn’t even try to pet him. I have never seen anyone treating animals so rude and barbaric. At one point my cat was struggling and since they tied him up, he started choking. When I saw this I literally couldn’t control myself and burst into tears because I couldn’t watch this anymore. They were telling me all this time even while I was crying that “you see, you told us he is peaceful and quiet but hes not”. They didn’t complete the haircut and returned my cat to me saying “we can’t do this, he’s too aggressive”. I asked them if I can help them because he would feel safer with me by his side but they told me “we have been doing this for more than 10 years so we know what to do”. They shaved back of my cat but his chest and neck were left unshaven (I had to do this myself using scissors at home). When I asked them if they can shave his chest and neck too they told me “no he’s being too aggressive, if he bites me or scratches me will you pay me $200? Because I have other clients aside from you who are waiting for their pets to be shaved”. At that point I was feeling so stressed, sad, mad and exhausted that I simply didn’t want to talk to these people, they made me pay $115 for the cut (even though they didn’t shave him completely). As soon as I came home I called Toilettage Felinus, they remember my cat since we used to go to that place every 3-4 months. When I told them what happened they told me I shouldn’t have paid to these people and I should contact the corresponding veterinary department/community to let them know how these people treat animals. I will obviously never come back and I will only visit Toilettage Felinus (I would rather pay Uber or use public transport that walk to this place). If you care about your pet and especially if it’s your first time visiting this place - do not leave him without supervision. Or simply choose a different place.

The only place to take your pets!Patricia and her staff are the most sweetest and kindest people! They truly care about your pets and go the extra mile to make you and your pet happy. I've been blessed to have adopted a sweet dog 3 days ago. And Patricia took me right away, she made him look like a million bucks! I can't express how grateful I am to her and her team. I drove from Montreal to south shore just because of her. She's worth the drive and he love her too! He's even smiling! He knows he looks beautiful!! I don't trust anyone with my dogs except for her and her staff! Thank you Patricia!!!❤
