This happened last year but I'm just now writing this. I went there to see the leos for fun and check out any products I could buy for my own leopard gecko and I was disgusted at the small tanks they had housing 4-6 leos at once. They are not meant to be housed with ANY other leo as they can be aggressive to each other. One of them was severely malnourished and one of his feet were nibbled off. Saw them all eating crickets and he kept getting bullied off to the side and ate none.I mentioned this to the manager at the time and asked if this was normal, and she agreed he's smaller than normal and since it's temporary to be with the other geckos, it's acceptable. She was pretty defensive and called over another employee to feed this gecko individually. I wanted to buy him and take him home, but they were selling the leos (not any special morphs) at $75 if I recall correctly. She wouldn't budge the price even though the gecko was ill so I just left it. I hope he found a good home.I visited a week or so after and had some guy pressure me into buying one of their disabled geckos, too. I get its a sales move but you should make sure the buyer is responsible before even selling any animal. I was not prepared to take in another leo, I'm just looking around.I feel bad for the animals in there.

I always buy my crickets for my beardie here and they last about a week each time and are a pretty decent size. The employees are very helpful and answer any questions you have to their best ability. You can tell they love their animals and take great care of them. They have a variety of exotic wildlife and I’ll definitely be coming here if I’m interested in getting a new pet.

3/12/22: Went in to answer the big Now Hiring" sign in the window and stood there listening to two women complain and finally said "do you work here" and almost immediately the younger one went : "yeah

Never open I have gone there at least 5 times and have never even been able to go in. Hours are posted saying they are open 10-5 but I’ve never been able to go inside. Driving over and a hour to check it out what a waste of time. DO BETTER.

Took my daughter to purchase a snake and the lady was so friendly and knowledgeable. Helped my daughter find a snake she immediately bonded with. They never tried to over sell me on anything just a bunch of free knowledge and kindness.

Workers sometimes seem a little busy, but as far as I can tell it's one person running the whole show. I bounce back and forth from here to Greenwood for my reptile food, mainly. Overall nice and clean place.

My friend and I went to great lakes reps yesterday and I'm mortified and disgusted. There was a sick leopard gecko with a bulging eyes dead a lizard that was without a water source available to drink. Adult bearded dragon in enclosure way to small for them ad well as a red iguana who was in a enclosure way to small. This place over charges and still doesn't care enough for their reptiles. You are better of shopping elsewhere and giving yourself peace of mind. I would give no stars if possible.

Went in for a snake for my kid. First time reptile owners (as an adult anyway). Kid's been researching for a year. I read a review about the store smelling. There is a very mild smell of clean woodchips or animal bedding. The store is clean. The tanks are clean. The tortoise chilling unhelpfully but magnificently at the register looked beautiful.Amanda was really helpful in recommending a beautiful kid-friendly rat snake and setting us up with the whole snake kit and patiently explaining to me what we needed (kid is a responsible 8, so she knows bedding" but not which type is the best or how many bags or what the right size tank is given the snake friend my daughter took home). Amanda answered my questions and praised my kid for being well-informed and prepared. We were able to set everything up and move him in pretty quickly at home. He happily hunted down his mouse a day early and is working on swallowing it as my daughter goes to bed. So clearly our new resident has a healthy appetite."

Love going here checking out their latest reptiles. They also have food for my dragon whenever I stop in. The staff is knowledgeable and has helped me learn more about my dragon and her care.
