In response to Tracey B's review i can say that it is a 1 star review from a 1 star human being. Its busy and we all have appointments. you don't get to cut the line because you are having a tantrum.The service at Scissors Over Comb is top notch. Tony and Britt are masters of their art and how busy the bushiness is shows the quality of their work. The establishment is always spotless and they make it convenient to book your appointment online.If you are craving the authentic barbershop experience of the past, this is the place to go.

Great service and traditional barbering that's hard to find. Tony civilized my unmanaged beard and unkempt hair. I even got a compliment on the way home. Can't beat that!Hard recommend.

Hair was cut uneven through the whole back. Barber we was rough with hair and was an overall terrible experience. Will not be coming back.Edit*Barber was nice tho talked to me about gym

Our regular barber had to go out of town so I decided to bring my 3 boys in for a fresh cut as it was very needed. I should have left almost immediately after my first interaction with the male barber where he said “only people who don’t know how to cut hair use thinning shears. My first son sat down and he asked what type of cut he wanted and then proceeded to not cut how he asked. My second son couldn’t get over how aggressive the barber was twisting and turning and yanking… when he asked my son what he wanted for his cut I told him what is normally used and so did my son. The barber then proceeded to argue with the both of us that there was no possible way he could give my son what he was asking for, that it couldn’t be blended and would look bad. I threw my hands up and said fine do what you think is best… I wasn’t about to cause a scene. My second boy hated his cut because it was nothing like what he normally gets. Now to my third boy. My third boy sat down with his long curls and jokingly said “it’s time to cut off my hair, my family is starting to think I look homeless” he said this as a joke and then said barber told him to “not listen to his parents”…….. needless to say my third boy also didn’t like his cut. At the end of our adventure I paid, I even tipped because it’s what’s right… and then the barber handed me a card and said “if you choose to come back”Needless to say I won’t be back.

It's been a very high stress, challenging few months but I have to say this experience was one of the most relaxing, stress free experiences I have had in a long long time. I could have slept in that chair!Conversation with Tony about soccer, travelling and life experiences was fantastic. I genuinely cannot think of a better hair cut and beard trim. He talked me through everything, explained the plan and just gave one of the best experiences for a new customer.I won't be going anywhere else!

I made two appointments at Scissor Over Comb... one for myself for a beard trim and buzz, and one for my son for a hair cut before school photos. Both experiences were incredible. Jovial, witty conversation with the both Tony and Britt made the time fly by sitting in the chair. My 5 year old son had a blast as well. Will be going back again and again as my trimming needs dictate. Great shop!

Came up for my Best Friends wedding. Called couple days before and everything was booking up for the long weeekend.Tony squeezed him in for a clean shaven before his wedding day. Great service if we lived in kentville this would be our regular spot.

First time getting a cut here but Tony was excellent! So hard to find good barbers around the valley, will definitely be coming back!

Tony was excellent with my 2 year old son even though my son gave us a hard time with getting his hair cut Tony did a excellent job on his hair. Tony is super friendly and the shop is clean. I highly recommend this barber shop to anyone.

Scissors Over Comb is a great small business run by even better people. Both Brittany and Tony consistently make an effort to find out what the customer wants and go above and beyond to deliver it, all for a more than affordable price. Commitment to their craft, the overall barbershop experience, and being great folk to chat with makes the experience they provide more than worth it. I look forward to every cut and conversation.
