Throwing a party, wedding, banquet or whatever occasion this place has it all at affordable prices. I come in here and there to browse around and end up leaving with a couple of items, usually adding to my camping gear-(food/cooking) or replacing something for the kitchen at home.

The owner is friendly, helpful, and both enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the products which they carry. This is a specialty store without the usual specialty store markups. Why be disappointed with what you end up getting from Walmart or Amazon when you can shop here and support a local business.

Hi - I can say I have always had good dealings with the owners of this business. I'm posting today because one of the owners today had a customer come in and try to claim a mask exemption and video tape the experience. He asked her to leave politely. Now there are some 1-star reviews popping up for a family-owned, otherwise 5-star reviewed business.For example the 'local guide' Stephanie S who posted a few minutes ago, has reviews in the last 2 days from Mississauga (Brown's shoes), Peterborough (Kawartha Restaurant Supply), Barrie (Casa Cappuccino), and the Sault Ste-Marie farmers market. In the last 3 weeks (during lockdowns) from Ottawa, North Bay, Cobourg, London, Cambridge, Sturgeon Falls, and Grimsby. Shannon did you really drive to Peterborough to pick up an industrial oven, or a bunch of restaurant supplies? Or are you parroting an anti-masker friends social media post which hurts a long standing community business?Sorry to anyone looking for a specific review but I thought it was important to say something on behalf of a great small business and the family that runs it.

Great shop, support local!

Horrible customer service. The owner was rude and obnoxious. Prices seemed high. I will never return to this business and I will share my experience with my many local friends and family, so they don't have to put themselves through the same poor treatment. So much for trying to support a local business for something I can order online!

A wonderful local shop with everything you could ever need and excellent prices. Very caring and helpful owners, service-oriented and a true asset to the community. So happy to be able to support exceptional small businesses like Kawartha Restaurant Supply.
