Captain Sammys Fish & Chips
Hands down, it's one of the best fish and chips in ontario! They are generous with their portions. My husband and I can't even finish the large size! It was so delicious we even came back to take back home. Store is not hard to find, it's just in front of Shell by 400 N.

We have stopped here for a meal over the years and the quality has remained the same. Great fish. Loved the poutine too. A few tables to sit at. Lots of parking. Can pay with credit/debit now at their bait shop next door. Clean washrooms too.The only negative is they are not the friendliest bunch.

Excellent chip truck +. Superb Poutine. Okay burger - exactly what you’d expect. Didn’t have the pickerel but told it was good. Always go here when on my way to or from Killarney.

Incredibly fresh pickerel ($18) with light tasting batter. The batter also has a delicious flavour. Fries are good too! They now accept debit and credit.

Soooo disappointed, just arrived after a 4 hour drive and a plan to pick up fish n chips for a birthday party on the pier. Closed at least 45 mins earlier than posted. Cars keep pulling in, they lost some good biz tonight! Next time we'll eat in Parry Sound to be sure!

Very good pickerel with fresh cut fries. The batter on the fish was just right. It was light tasting and didn't over power the fish. The coleslaw that came with the meal was good but I wasn't a huge fan of the tartar sauce that was served alongside the fish. I would definitely stop here again to try their other fish dinners.

Light, crispy batter and not too greasy either! I had ordered haddock fish and chips which came with chips, side of coleslaw and tarter sauce. Another bonus point is the salt and pepper sachets come on the side so to get to control how little or how much you like to season it. We were lucky when we pulled over as we hardly waited five minutes and the order was ready. Piping hot and delicious! Highly recommended.

Food is good, but not as good as fish and chips in Alban. This place is also pretty expensive for what you get. The worst thing about this place is the service. I have visited twice now on two separate years, and both times they are downright rude and unfriendly. Yes I want a second knife and fork to share a large $30 fish and chips, so get over it. Also, try saying “thank you” when your customers pay instead of slamming the window in their face. Some friendliness would definitely not hurt.

We stopped here on our way to Sault Ste. Marie, primarily because the rating where amazing and there were very few options nearby. We ordered a large Haddock with came with a huge portion of fries and 2 large pieces of fish. It was absolutely amazing, the fish was fresh & crisp with perfect amount of seasoning in the batter. The tartar sauce was one of the best we ever had and the coleslaw had the right balance of sweetness and creaminess..The fries didn’t disappoint as well. Definitely recommend!!P.S. it’s a take out place with a few benches outside!!

We loved the food here. The fish was battered right and not too oily. The fish burger is delicious. Overall great food for you to stop for.
