Shoppers Drug Mart

Have been going to this shoppers for 30 yrs +and have found it to be a well managed store. Some employees have been there for decades,I would highly recommend their services. Hats off to ownership for a friendly and organized store.

I recently moved to Richmond near the Shoppers at No 2 and Blundell so popped in for a few things about 9am this morning. I had a few things in my basket and really preferred to wait for the cashier as I have a very difficult time with the self checkout. The customer was just finishing his transaction and I was I high hopes of proceeding after him as I was next in line. NO WAY! I was forced to use self checkout and sure enough ran into trouble, while waiting for attendant I just got SO flustered I left my basket with all contents and walked out in tears. For those of us seniors that have a difficult time I feel we should be able to checkout with the cashier, sadly disappointed. I will most certainly drive to the Dunbar location when needed and will switch to a smaller, more personable pharmacy for any further prescriptions. This location is definitely in need of more caring cashiers than what I witnessed this Saturday morning.

I'd like to give the pharmacy a negative score if I could. Pharmacy often fail to prepare medicines at the time they have been told. This afternoon, when I went to pick up the medicine, they said they made a mistake, so I would come and pick it up at night. Then, my husband help me pick it up after dinner, but he brought back the wrong medicine, so I went back to the pharmacy again, the pharmacist said she corrected it for me this time. when I took the medicine before bed, I opened the bottle and found it was wrong again. It is terrible. Fortunately, I checked my medicine and I knew what it looks like, what if I don't? Seeing the comments below, these kind of issues happened from few years ago. The pharmacy didn't pay attention and did any change. I will never come again.Please stay away from this pharmacy.

CHECK THE CODE BEFORE YOU PICK ANY ITEM FROM THE SHELF AT THIS STORE.I visited the store at around 23:00 on 2022/10/08, looking to buy a birthday paper bag, I picked one @4.29 and scanned at the self-check out, the machine showed 6.99, then the lady at the counter asked me if there was any proble, I told her the price was wrong. She scanned, and showed me the bar code, said: you need to check the code, it scanned 6.99. It seemed to me that she would not believe what I told her. I went back to the shelf (apparently she would not do so), I took a picture of the item and the price lable, and went back to show her. She then said this price lable is for the item next to it, she again told me that I need to check the code. I then said, would you like to come with me and check? She then unwillingly walked with me to the item and realized, the price lable was misplaced, then she took out the misplaced price lable and took it away. But she still insist that I need to check the code, I said: look, I would not check the bar code on every item I pick. She then said reluctantly, 'for this time, I will do 4.29 for you', like I was the one who made a mistake.I understand it was quite late and there was only one hour before they can go home, the staff had a tiring day of hard work, but customers do not deserve to be treated in a horrible manner just because your emotional or physical exhaustion, and most importantly, we WOULD NOT check the bar code on every item we pick. It's your responsibility to put the price lables in the right places.

Amazing customer service!! A lady named Jocelyn was my cashier. I had just walked over from Safeway where I had bought way too much stuff and couldn't carry it all home. So I bought three large reusable bags here at Shoppers Drug Mart and she help me unpack every single item out of my Safeway bags and pack the items into the large bags I had bought from her. Way above and beyond!! Thank you Jocelyn!!

About their pharmacy, they tell you to come back at a certain time for your meds only to be told it is still not prepared when you do come. My wife had one medication missing and was told they did not receive it, only to be called up ten minutes later when we were home already that they found the missing medication. Then there was a time I was told my meds were not covered by insurance and I had to come back again because it was actually partly covered. Lastly, they have a habit telling you that your medications are ready, pay for your medications in full, but inform you that you have to come back for a missing portion of the meds you paid for another day. This has happened to me twice already but never in other branches.There are so many inconsistencies from this location that may ruin your day when all you want is to get your medication peacefully.

The worst experiences I've ever had with a pharmacy. They say Rx is ready when it's not. They misplace Rx's. They fill partials refills and then they claim they filled the entire thing and refuse to complete the order. I don't even know how they remain open their customer service is an embarrassment. I don't think they have ever filled a Rx the way my doctor has asked. I used to deal with Richmond center location and never had a single issue in several years. Te few times I have used this location (Blundell and No.2) it's been an absolute nightmare. If you read these reviews it seems like many many people have they issues and clearly they do nothing about it.

garbage terrible service from the bald white girl with beard, every other pharamcist was absolutey amazing and kind except the bald white guy with the glasses, youll notice him. all the other girl pharamacists are great

Hands down, the rudest staff I've ever seen at point of sale, particularly with seniors - ironically, the lion's share of their customers. There is a bank of self-scan checkouts, but no one there to help seniors know how to use them. Every time I go with my father, I see him and other seniors struggle to know how to use these machines. If there happens to be a staff member there, they're either not helping at all or actually scolding the seniors for their lack of knowledge. No joke.Today, I heard one of the sales" people saying

We had to transfer my wife’s prescription to this location from our normal pharmacy (also a shoppers and also very difficult to deal with). We confirmed it would be ready 7pm Friday evening and I went to pick up Saturday 1:30pm. The pharmacist decided that arguing with me that we normally go to a different pharmacy and I must be confused at location… they said they have nothing ready for us and it will take time to transfer the prescription…. We have decided to go 20 minute drive to a different company to fill this prescription to avoid continuing to deal with Shoppers
