The water is silty and the access to the water for a kayak requires a bit of acrobatics. Washroom on the trail is for emergencies at best.

There is so much poison ivy on this trail I DO NOT recommend hiking here. The trail needs widening and alot of work to reduce poison ivy. Beware.

River-side is picturesque. Forest-side is serene. Might want to avoid the far end of the loop: 30 foot STEEP sand dune. Far end of forest side is difficult!

Sandy, hilly trail is a cool, free way to spend an hour or two. The best part is the remarkable man-made water channel. Lack of use means sections of the trail can become qickly overgrown. Neat spot for birds.
