I have dealt with A1 Freight forwarding 4 times in the last year from Calgary to Cape Town South Africa. I have sent large boxes of personal stuff to friends and I would highly recommend them, not only are they extremely helpful but friendly to the ignorant shipper like myself. I have had zero problems, it was easy and user friendly, the drop off at the airport in Calgary was painless and quick. From the first online quote to delivery in South Africa A1 took care of it all. I searched many companies for competitive pricing with the least amount of hassle and A1 covered both aspects, painless and cheap in comparison. They are not a moving company but a freight or package forwarding company. I packed my own boxes tightly as i know the airlines mishandle even suitcases and i delivered them to the airport which is not far from where i live, they do have a pick up service but i didn't want to spend the extra money. They did what they promised and delivered on that.

I just called them and they didn't want to give me the address of were i would drop my BOX until i made a reservation. i fine that very fishy most places that ship internationally would give you their address even on their site. i have read some of their reviews and it just shows that this company cant be trusted.

I am pretty impressed! I’ve asked them to send my package ASAP cause my business has depended on. At first I’ve got a date what was pretty fast, but after I asked them to make it faster, they have made it! From the picking up to the delivery was 7 days from Canada to Hungary! That’s awesome! Highly recommend!

Had a horrible experience with A1 freights. I called them about 40 times during the shipment process, asked how much will it be from Toronto to Budapest and they never ever told me that someone else (BoxLine) would continue on dry land. So we only got told to pay 1600dollars to A1 freight and thought that would be all. But in between some other stuff has happened, we told them the boxes will be very heavy and they will need a lift car. They sent 2 people who tried to hand lift it and shook our box until the boxes broke. The moving company they sent was Transnet Moving. So they left our boxes in the garage and told us they have to repack it into cardboard boxes for extra 500 dollars plus we must pay late run fee 250 dollars. I was already in Hungary at this point so I had to pay. When it arrived in their garage they said the dimensions changed even though we specifically told the reboxers to keep it exactly how it was, so anyways A1 freight said they will hold back the boxes until we pay them more for it. We were told to pay asap or we must pay storage fee but we did not understand why. Btw congratulations A1 freight for your fake account; Tom Pera

We are very grateful to A1 Freight Forwarding for their professionalism and expediency in handling our shipment. Communication was always down to the point and pleasant, with any expectations and promises being clearly laid out from start to finish. The timeline and charges were just as promised and our boxes arrived without a single damaged item. Based on our experience with A1 Fright Forwarding we were very surprised by some negative reviews about this company. We would highly recommend A1 to anyone who is looking for a professional and reliable shipping service and have already passed on their information to our family and friends.

Our shipment to Dubai arrived safely and quickly. The service from the coordinator to the drop off was excellent from the Toronto location. We could easily track where the shipment was. The price for air was quite reasonable. Very pleased.

Horrible experience, I don't recommend this company at all! Why?I had a big duffel sent from Vancouver to Prague. I had to bring it to the airport on my own, do all the work with the cargo company and all this I didn't know, till I payed. I asked them several times, but they were always avoiding the answer and telling me that I have to pay first.It's very hard to understand them - Russians. Either by email (misspelling and leaving out words and very bad english by all means) or by phone (super hard accent). They were calling me by a different name (joke?) and all looked very suspicious, since the very beginning.The only thing that kept me doing this was the price, which was lower than carrying the bag with me on the flight.Then, when I went to pick up my bag in Prague, I was told, for the very first time that I will have to pay a fee at the airport, to the cargo company. I thought it's alright, but then the cargo company told me that the shipper sent it express, so the fee is DOUBLE. Nobody told me, I didn't choose it, A1 just needed some more money for Christmas I guess, so they ordered something I didn't choose. Illegal behaviour in my opinion. Then they refused to deal with it and shut me down.If you think this is worth and have a lot of money for Russian company, go for it. If not, go for some other way, it's worth it!

DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT USING THEM!!! as others have said it’s the Cheapest price up front BUT tons of hidden fees...absolutely terrible company. Had so many issues. The price went up every time I talked to them. They held my goods hostage once they were shipped until I paid more. Ended up costing more (triple initial quote) then using someone else.I talked to different people there and was given different stories each time.

Please do not do business with this people, I was overcharged by them, the company they do business with (Uniexco) said they didn't have my cargo and I should contact A1 again, they kept throwing the ball to each other, after two weeks Uniexco contacts me saying if I didn't pick up my cargo the day after they would ship it back, I was charged storage fees and told to start a claim, I am still fighting them for those charges.Please save yourself all this trouble and money, just take your business somewhere else.

The service was friendly and fast and everything arrived quickly and as expected. I was a little bit concerned that some information was missing and might cause an issue, but in the end it all worked out OK. Just be sure to clarify your start and stop point fully as our end destination was actually four hours away from where we wanted our cargo delivered, however with a few changes it all worked out OK and it was delivered to our city in less time than expected. The point of contact was responsive and quick.
