Positive side:- customer service is not as bad as other review has stated, in fact, they checked us in around 3:40pm and no one was waiting- location is amazing, close to metro, also walkable to Chinatown and old port- nice smart TV!Negative side:- given the decade old room condition, I couldn’t justify paying $250 to stay. Maybe around 180-200 is ok.- Clogged bathtub- Half of the lights in the room not working- Something is giving me itchy arm (either the bed or towel) sensitive skin people should be aware and bring their own sheets & towel- Heater not functioning- Someone knocked on our door twice in the middle of night, quality of people staying here might be a concern?- no fridge- reminder for people coming by car, the hotel has a gated parking and is better to ask for the passcode beforehand. We ended up didn’t park in the hotel tho, they increased their price from $28 to $50 per day during peak season. There’s a public parking just 20m down the street and is way cheaper.

We would come back in the long weekend of September! Room very comfortable we stayed in the room 521 very spacious pillows are very but very comfortable. I have stayed here in the previous years. The Director recommended us to go to this “Circle du Soleil” event! WOW that was a nice. While we stayed in the Empire suites luckily they offer lemon water in lobby icy cold, parking for $46 with a privilege of in/out is worth it in the downtown area.

Nice hotel, coffee in the room, nice shower. quiet, with friendly service. Note that the price is very comparable with other hotels on the street ( there are many) but the quality is way better than the other hotel we chose for the first two nights. There is even a gym here, and a lot of space to sit at the reception ( for those who wakes up early while everyone else in the room is asleep), and things you notice after paying too much for the bare bones alternatives, such as better shower, air conditioner, night lamps conveniently located and with charging outlets, 2 pillows per person, elevator, more space. They took a deposit of 250$ for not smoking, I hope this will be returned ( not as some other reviewers said) - writing while I am still here

It has really been a nightmare to stay at this accommodation and deal with the staff, specially with the Front Desk Manager, Mohammed, one of the most unhelpful and least professional I have ever seen in the hotel travel industry.I was staying with my family in a triple room with a couch, where the couch was totally broken and not possible to unfold, which forced one of us to sleep on the floor. The assistance was totally zero, and the amendment was even worse. They offer a discount on the next reservation at their same property. They clearly know we are from Europe and this trip was a unique situation trip in Montreal. Of course I DO NOT recommend it, nor will be back to stay at this place ever.I am sorry for you if you ever had to stay at this place.

Upon arrival for check in at 4 PM (which is already late) the place wasn't even too full but they only have 2 receptions available and one employee had the biggest struggle in the world to check someone in. So Essentially there was only 1 reception available. When checked in I confirmed my room with the receptionist and made my way over to the room, when I open the door I noticed it was the incorrect room. Not the room I payed for.I told them at reception that it was the incorrect room but they brushed me off and said that room that I was given was more expensive so just say with it. They were already dealing with another customers issue with some sort of payment issue and miss communication with the hotel management.Once complaining again about my room I was finally switched over to the room I payed for by the manager. It took us a total of one hour to get everything sorted out.At the end the room was ok but not as show in the pictures advertised, the next day our hotel card key was disabled and we had to go back to the lobby and get a new card for our room. The hotel is nice but management is awful.Unfortunate.

Last minutes booking on the weekend! Empire Suites team are warm and sweet front the reception to the room cleaners! On this last minute booking I appreciate the young manager he recommended me to eat at this restaurant Zante incredible Greek restaurant! There is a near by 24/7 convenience store called Couche-Tard 2mins walk. Parking is $40CAD+ Tax. I'd rather park with them then elsewhere. Rooms are spacious and comfy.

I had an absolutely awful experience at Empire Suites on Canada Day. The room was disgustingly dirty, and the toilet didn't flush at all. When I reported the issues to the front desk, they were unable to fix them and refused to refund my money. The manager, Mr. Mohammad, he wasn't at the propertyi taked to him over the ohine he was rude and unhelpful, making the situation even worse. I ended up having to book another hotel and spending an extra $600. I strongly advise everyone to avoid Empire Suites due to their terrible service and unacceptable conditions.

The room itself was okay (tidy and spacious). The temperature was not very comfortable (unless you like your room at a cool 16-17 degrees celsius with no ability to adjust the heat). My biggest issue, is that someone accessed my room in the middle of the night. Thankfully, I had the u-lock on. However, I spent the duration of my stay NOT at the hotel room... which begs the question, what if I wasn't there? I checked out the following day (as intended), and brought up the matter to the front desk. They apologized, and had me fill out a complaint form. That was a month ago and I've yet to hear anything from the hotel about the experience. Perhaps it's just me... but you'd think they would take a situation of the sort, seriously. At the very least, acknowledge it and follow up with the guest.
