Alberni Valley CrossFit

I love this gym! I always thought CrossFit would be intimidating and too hard but coach Devin has walked me through it in an informative, safe and fun way. The atmosphere is so welcoming, the workouts are challenging and fun and the community aspect is great too. Highly recommend.

As a first timer, it has been a great experience getting into CrossFit at this gym. Devin is an excellent coach, very knowledgeable, encouraging and down to earth. Looking forward to seeing the community grow around this space in Port!

I have been doing CrossFit for over 8 years and I have never come across a lifting coach as thorough as Devin. He was able to tweak and improve my lifts. His ability to communicate and coach what needs to change is superb! An amazing gym with a fantastic atmosphere! I’m almost 55 years old and will continue to CrossFit through old age. All movements can be modified according to ability. Building strength and working on resistance is so important as we age. If you are tired of the usual boring gyms, don’t see progression, join this gym! You have an amazing coach, you will never be bored, and you will have constant improvement as well as an amazing environment and community to train with!

Love this gym. Everyone is very welcoming. Coach Devin is knowledgeable and adapts to everyone’s level. If CrossFit and/or going to a new gym is outside your comfort zone, this is the place to get past that.

Beautiful and functional brand spanking new CrossFit gym, top of the line equipment. Coach Devin is super experienced, passionate, and kind. Highly recommend this gym for anyone and everyone. Can’t forget to mention the cute puppy that will greet you at the door!

Great gym! I have always wanted to join CrossFit but never took the leap and was always intimidated. When I heard it was coming to Port Alberni I knew I had to join. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. Egos are left at the door and the community has been great. Devin is a fantastic coach who focuses on each individual and meets them at their capabilities. I highly recommend coming to a community class and checking it out for yourself!

I've been waiting for CrossFit to come to Port Alberni for a long time, and it's finally here! This gym is fantastic; the classes and coach are tailored to everyone.We have a fantastic atmosphere, we support each other, we laugh but are serious during classes.This is for you if you want to start your fitness journey in an interesting and fun way.I would recommend it to anyone.

I felt very welcomed at Alberni Valley CrossFit! Coach Devin took his time to get to know me and helped me get back into making fitness a part of my lifestyle again. It is a wonderful atmosphere.It really is the best hour of my day! If I’m here for a class or just dropping in for open gym time I always have fun! So glad there is such an amazing CrossFit community here in Port!

Drop-ins are welcome at AVCF! It was great to use the equipment with Devin leading a challenging workout. I hope to get back soon!I think the locals are fortunate to have AVCF available to them to join.
