I don't think it's possible to not to find what your pet needs in there. Staff is really cool

Petvalu is always well stocked and has friendly and helpful staff. They offer everything I need for my two cats and offer a loyalty program, including free dry food after purchasing enough bags. They follow social distancing protocols appropriately. My go-to pet store for sure!

Prices are out to lunch for products like fish food. $12 for the same oroducts i can walk 2 minutes to Walmart and buy for half the price!

Great store, clean, staff are knowledgeable. Prices aren't to bad, although if you can pre plan ordering online will be much cheaper for things like crates/peds/mats etc. The big items. Small items and treats are on pair with other companies.

I want to say thank you for the staff who have helped me out the week as I was setting up my new aquarium. Everything from advice, encouragement and selling me my new fish. It's been a very easy process. My fish are doing fantastic and I have the staff to thank.

Always go to this location for my pet needs. I find the staff are knowledgeable and always willing to help. They just seem to care more unlike other pet stores and their aquariums are always in really good condition

Staff was NOT knowledgeable about fish. I went in the store to check out their fish with the intention of possibly buying some tetras or corydoras. I asked the short gentleman who was taking care of the fish how big they would get. He signed with his hand 4 to 5 inches! (I knew that was false as female corys will grow mas 2.5 inches). Then I told him I had an apistograma but he didn't know what apistos were and I explained to him that they were South American cichlids. He then went onto tell me he didn't recommend I kept that fish with corys or other fish because they were too aggressive. However, his is not true of dwarf cichlids so clearly he had no idea what he was talking about.When I told him I had a sand substrate he told me it wasn't good for catfish or corydoras and that sand could kill them! Can you believe it? A quick search into the matter reveals that the BEST substrate for catfish is substrate is fine gravel or sand. I tried explaining that gravel was worse for their sensitive barbells and he said that the Pet Valu expert" courses said otherwise. He was very condescending and told me to do my research. I have been keeping fish for over a decade and have had plenty of corydoras catfish on various types of substrate and have never had any problems. It's really bad that this person is spreading misinformation about the fish hobby to people who might not know any better.Needless to say I will stick with going to Pet City or Killick Coast Aquariums as their staff at least know about fish keeping and aren't condescending to their customers. Do not go in this store without doing your own research as they have no idea about community tanks

The staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable. One lady walked me through the entire cat’s section explaining to me everything from ideal foods to toys when I got my kitty for the first time. Lots of patience. They always have what I need. The place is always very clean, too. I love that store.

The decor, lighting and atmosphere of the store is very lovely and chic, however there is virtually no selection in small pets, birds or fish. The selection in small pet equipment and supplies is also limited. There was only one employee working when I went in and he wasn't the most helpful or approachable. It's most likely I won't return as Pet City has much more variety and selection in small pet/exotics and supplies.
