Allan is a passionate violinist and violin instructor. All of my children are benefiting from his enthusiasm for what he does. Allan is knowledgeable about a wide variety of violin styles and works to make the lessons and the learning relevant to his students’ interests. I would recommend Allan as a teacher for any skill level.

Our daughter is currently learning to play the violin from Teacher Allan and enjoying her lessons quite a bit. She has had both in-person and virtual online lessons and we find that Teacher Allan is very positive, supportive and creative in lesson delivery while always maintaining his professionalism and patience with our little one. He is attentive and provides many different strategies to motivate our little one and always ensures that the enjoyment of playing the violin comes first for her. If you are looking for a teacher to teach you or someone you care about violin, then you should give Fiddle & Fudge a try.

I have always wanted to play the violin and Allan has inspired me to believe that it's never too late. I have been receiving lessons from Allan for just a few months and he has helped to me with my bow hold, left hand placement, use of the bow and intonation. I love his free music theory classes on Tuesdays and Thursday via zoom. I look forward to my lesson every week and I practice daily because I always get excited about my progress. Allan is very good with people, organised and professional. To all those adults who want to play the violin, please get yourself started as you may wonder why you waited so long.

As an adult learner I was very picky about which teacher I chose. Allan has been very patient with me and has a vast knowledge of all things violin/fiddle. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

I was very new with the Violin when I first started lessons with Allan. Its comforting being thought by someone who has such a vast understanding of the technical aspects of Violin paired with a keen musical ear. He educated me with everything I needed to know as a beginner, to be able to become a confident Violinist in the future. He set me up for success. For anyone nervous starting lessons, whether you are an adult or child, his teaching style is patient and very encouraging. He offers a non judgmental and safe space to openly learn and grow as a Violinist. If you truly want to become a strong Violinist, Allan is your teacher. I have personally had such a wonderful experience and I hope others decide to be a student in his studio as they wont regret it.

Teacher Allan is one of the most creative, fun, yet skilled and knowledgeable instructor there is. He is passionate about violin, gets my 11 year old excited to play (and practice) and creates a safe and engaging space for learning to happen. As a parent I feel we could not have done better finding such an incredible instructor.Teacher Allan incorporates fun projects into his community. He is patient, professional and very encouraging. My daughter has only been playing for over 5 months and she has learned many things, including proper technique and musical theory. I couldn't recommend Fiddle and Fugue enough to violin players of any age or skill level!

As an adult student learning violin has been quite a journey, but the best thing I did was choose Fiddle and Fugue! Allen is patient, funny, amazingly talented, professional, intelligent and a dedicated teacher. Every lesson I leave feeling like I’ve improved and am given more challenging content fit for my level of playing! Allen’s ability to teach all ages and the knowledge he shares with each lesson has made me love violin all the more! I could not recommend Fiddle and Fugue enough, Allen’s skill and generosity are just a few of the wonderful qualities he has shared with me!

Wonderful Teacher who knows Violin music well. My 11 year old played for less than a year and has already performed a recital and a competition. Both my daughter and I are taking lessons. If you dont think you need a teacher and your neck hurts; this is the place for you. Learn the correct violin body mechanics here and how to expand with a beautiful playing style. Takes the struggle away and helps the music sound good and in tune.

The teacher Allan is very structured and professionell. He helped me to improve my sound on the violin in three weeks. It's awesome! I'm doing such a big progress since I'm taking violin lessons with him. He is very patient, motivating and it makes so much fun. I hope to learn still a lot more with this great teacher! :-)
